The festival organization will take a break in 2026 to reshape the future.
Next month, Mysteryland will celebrate the very last edition in its current iconic form, closing this chapter with an impressive grand finale. Following this upcoming edition in August, organizer ID&T will pause the festival in 2026 to reshape the future. As one of the biggest and longest-running festivals in the Netherlands, Mysteryland has been a staple at the end of the summer season for over thirty years.
This year’s edition takes place from Friday, August 22 to Sunday, August 24 at the former Floriade grounds in Haarlemmermeer. As always, ID&T is pulling out all the stops to deliver an unforgettable weekend, with large-scale production, creative stage designs, and a solid lineup featuring Marlon Hoffstadt, Hardwell, Benwal, Indira Paganotto, Eric Prydz, Adriatique and many more top acts from the Netherlands and beyond.
Following the legendary end show of last year that set a new standard in festival finales, the organization is set to close this chapter with another grand finale integrated with even more drones compared to last year, fireworks, pyrotechnics, 3D visuals, lasers and more. The renowned end shows at Mysteryland’s mainstage will push the boundaries of imagination and technology.
This year, Mysteryland promises an even more spectacular finale, leaving audiences in awe with the Saturday End show with Hardwell and on Sunday an impressive, drone-infused, Mysteryland end show. All of this will take place at the iconic pyramid, which serves as the backdrop for this year’s mainstage. Expect dancing people as far as the eye can see, a swirling mass of collective energy.
This will be the final opportunity for fans to experience the festival in its current iconic form. As the world’s longest-running dance festival, the team behind Mysteryland feels a strong responsibility to deliver the highest possible standard to its fans: cutting-edge production, bold stage designs, immersive shows, and the best artists; all set in one of the most stunning festival locations in the country.
But with this ambition also comes a challenge. Over the past years, event production costs have surged – nearly doubling since the pandemic – from materials to beverage procurement and staffing. Meanwhile, audience preferences are evolving faster than ever. This calls for bold ideas and revolutionary thinking. And that level of innovation requires time and space, something that’s difficult to find when simultaneously producing a full-scale festival.
“When we moved from Ruigoord to the Floriade site back in 2003, that was also a moment of reinvention. It gave us the space to evolve Mysteryland into what it is today. We’re certainly not planning to say goodbye to this unique and special location, but honestly, it’s refreshing to be able to reimagine such an iconic festival from the ground up and take the time to do it right. ID&T has been creating events for decades, and it’s precisely by constantly adapting to the times that we’ve stayed relevant for so long. Mysteryland has represented innovation in the festival world since 1993 – and as far as we’re concerned, it will continue to do so for the next 30 years,” says a spokesperson for Mysteryland.
Mysteryland has undergone many metamorphoses over the past 32 years, and after upcoming edition it’s time for the next one.

Revamped Festival Grounds and New Experiences
Mysteryland 2025 brings exciting changes to its festival layout, designed to enhance the visitor experience and create a more immersive journey. The iconic pyramid, previously celebrated as the home of the second stage of the festival, will now serve as the festival’s mainstage, transforming into an arena that offers an eclectic mix of genres that showcase Mysteryland’s diverse musical direction. The redesigned festival grounds have been thoughtfully restructured to reduce walking distances a lot, making it easier for guests to navigate between stages and discover everything the event has to offer. For those seeking unique adventures, the festival retains its signature charm with intimate venues and hidden pathways, inviting festival-goers to explore surreal installations, side quests, and tucked-away performances waiting to be uncovered.
Camping: A 3-Day Holiday Retreat
Mysteryland’s Resort has moved onto the festival grounds for 2025, creating an immersive experience surrounded by lush greenery, a sandy beach, and a serene lake for swimming and relaxation. With a total campsite capacity of under 1,000, spots are limited and expected to sell out quickly. Learn more about the campsite and accommodations at mysteryland.nl/camping.
Sustainability at the Core
Following the installation of a green power grid at Haarlemmermeer 2 years ago, Mysteryland 2025 will once again be powered almost entirely by locally generated green energy—a groundbreaking feat for a festival of this scale. Additionally, the festival’s decor will feature innovative use of recycled and reused materials, with contributions from previous editions of Mysteryland and other ID&T Group festivals.
Saturday and Sunday End Shows: Expect the Unexpected
The renowned end shows at Mysteryland’s mainstage will once again push the boundaries of imagination and technology. Last year’s integration of drones, fireworks, 3D visuals, and lighting set a new standard in festival finales.
