AMAX’s breakthrough came in 2020 with the hit single “In My Brain”, a track that achieved commercial success both in Australia and abroad. Supported by major industry names including Ummet Ozcan, the release marked the beginning of AMAX’s ascent within the international EDM scene.
A seasoned multi-format producer, AMAX has consistently dominated the Beatport Top 100 Charts, with every release earning a place in its respective genre rankings. His continued success led to the launch of his own independent label, Yewwie Records, a forward-thinking imprint dedicated to discovering and supporting emerging talent in Electro House, Big Room, Psytrance, and beyond. Early Success
In 2019, AMAX showcased his deep connection to Melbourne’s local scene with the release of Melbourne Syndicate Volume 1, a compilation spotlighting local talent. The project became Beatport’s most successful Australian album of the year, charting across multiple genres (#1 Big Room, #7 Minimal, #3 Electro House, #4 Future House) and peaking at #35 on the Beatport Overall Top 100 in December 2019.
Most recently, AMAX teamed up with rising star TOSKA, a Tomorrowland 2024 performer and standout alumnus of Martin Garrix’s JBL Academy. Their collaboration, “Tunnel Vision (AMAX Remix),” bridges genre boundaries with an electrifying fusion of Melbourne bounce, hard house, and high-energy festival sounds.
After hearing a TikTok teaser of the original, AMAX brought his signature intensity to the remix, reimagining the track with pounding basslines and off-beat grooves that transformed it into a late-night club anthem. TOSKA’s vision is that 150bpm is the new 128bpm. It’s that faster, harder sound we both crafted and resulted in a remix that felt like a celebration of nostalgia house energy meets future rave disco.
