House scene-shaper Curbi continues on his uphill trajectory today with the club-ready single, “Lose Our Minds” featuring Australian breakout vocalist Jess Ball.
An entrancing medley of melodic sounds backed by a steady groove, the single embraces Curbi’s virtuosic sound design with hypnotic synths and minimal techniques, opening the floor for Jess Ball’s mesmerizing vocals. This follows Curbi’s punchier bass-house singles on Monstercat including the recent “Flying” and fan-favorites “Vertigo” and “Breathe,” which have earned him over 20 million streams collectively. Teaming up with Jess for the second time, the pair have fused their infectious lyricism and magnetic energy on what’s sure to be a chart riser and set staple all summer long.
Jess Ball shares, “‘Lose Our Minds’ is about the tension that can be created when people feel vulnerable or insecure. Sometimes we preempt what people are going to think about something and make up our minds about a situation before it has even played out. By assuming how someone will react, we may be creating a problem that wasn’t even there in the first place.”
Since the age of sixteen, the versatile stylings of Curbi have taken the house scene by full force, garnering support from headliners like Martin Garrix, Tiësto, and Don Diablo. Making career-defining moves to achieve his debut European headline tour and shows across Asia this year, Curbi recently played to packed crowds at Tomorrowland and Parookaville, and will next bring new music to Goldhill Festival and Mysteryland in August.
Whilst honing her celebrated talents as a solo pop vocalist and a high-fashion model, Jess Ball has also made a name for herself across the dance music space. One of her earliest releases, “I Found You (Neptune)” with EDX, hit #1 on the Future House Beatport charts as well as #38 on SiriusXM’s Top Electro Songs of the Year. Spanning previous collaborations with iconic names like NERVO and headline gigs at Northcote Social Club and The Curtin, she’s a multifaceted force to watch this year.
23 year-old DJ/producer Curbi’s passion to evolve his own unique sound is stronger than ever, while he continues to prove himself as a leading name in electronic music’s next generation.
The music never stopped, with Curbi dropping incredible releases one after another. His releases such as ‘Spiritual’ (8mln plays), ‘Hoohah’ with Fox Stevenson (13 million plays) and ‘Let’s Go’ with Lucas & Steve & Mike Williams (25 million plays), ‘Too Much (7mln plays) & ‘Get Down’ with Quintino (6 mln plays) make up only a small selection of his impressive musical achievements so far. In 2019 marked a new direction musically and released his biggest radio track so far.
He joined Oliver Heldens for several shows on his North America tour. Curbi released ‘ADHD’ and ‘Too Much’ on Heldeep Records. During Miami Music Week, Curbi joined Steve Aoki at his Story show, after releasing three songs on his label Dim Mak; ‘Whip It’, ‘Flip It’ and ‘Don’t Stop’.
Not slowing down, Curbi released over 12 singles last year and started a unique collaboration with Supercell for their mobile game ‘Brawl Stars’ which was a huge success. And 2021 is looking even brighter! Curbi released his first release of 2021 called ‘Make Amends’ with Tchami. And Curbi already teased an upcoming collaboration with none other than Zedd! With all that he has in store this year, Curbi is the name to watch in the near future as he braces to get back to global touring.
About Jess Ball
Singer & Songwriter Jessica Chloe Ball started to explore her musical interests in 2009, at the age of 11 and since then has developed a pop-inspired style. Raised in a rather musical family, Ball had been influenced by artists listened to by the family on road trips, such as Jack Johnson and Missy Higgins. Whilst Ball has been overseas in pursuit of a modeling career, working for brands such as Trussardi and Gorman, music is ultimately where her passion lies.
Now, at the age of 21, Ball connected with 1 AND 2 PRODUCTIONS, which made her presence felt in the world of Pop/EDM collaborating with the likes of EDX, Curbi, NERVO, and many other celebrated artists. Jess Ball not only released her first song but hit the ground running with her third release, “I Found You (Neptune)” with EDX which reached Number 1 on the Future House Beatport charts as well as Number 38 in SiriusXM’s Electro top songs of the year, streaming over 10 Million times.
Alongside this, Jess’s collab with featured UK DJ / Producer Curbi shot their song “Lied To” straight up the top of Beatport’s Future House charts and peaked at Number 1 on 1001tracklists’ Top Trending Tracks.
Although Jess Ball is a recognizable mainstay in the dance sphere with one of the most irresistibly requested vocals in the scene, her solo project marks an exciting start to Ball’s unique sound that she has been working on behind the scenes.
