Brando & Ninetails Turn Popular TikTok Sound Into Summer Song ‘Saturday Night (Feel The Groove)

Brando and emerging duo Ninetails Turn a viral TikTok into a fully fledged summer anthem.

Having been sent the popular guitar lick by the creator of the TikTok sound, they added a bit of extra flavor, gave it their own spin and now proudly release their creation on Armada Music: ‘Saturday Night (Feel The Groove)’.

A song of utmost contagiousness, Brando and Ninetails’ first-ever collab has fans buzzing from the get-go. Pairing Brando’s authentic vocal presence with fresh-and-funky guitar licks and a minimal beat that’s both pop-sensible and club-savvy, this track will be the highlight of every ‘Saturday Night’.

“I’ve known Freedo (of Ninetails) for a long time now and always wanted to work on a record with him”, Brando says. “He came into L.A. a few months back and I told him I was focusing on working with guitar-based dance tracks for my next releases. He just so happened to be asked by the owner of a popular TikTok sound (‘Feel The Groove’) to make a song with it, and he played it for me. Since I’m not the most social media savvy, I had no idea about the song being viral; I just thought the guitar was catchy. Everything came together so organically after I wrote the topline, after which Ryan (the singer of Ninetails) hopped on and added his flavor to it as well. This is one of my favorite records I’ve ever been a part of, and I hope my fans think the same!”

“Turning the viral TikTok sample into a full-on dance track was such a smooth process with the help of Brando’s iconic vocals and songwriting”, Ninetails add. “We’re super excited for this to be our introduction to the world.”

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Brando was a major force behind Canadian duo Loud Luxury’s multi-million-stream, multi-platinum-selling hit song ‘Body’ (almost 900 million streams on Spotify) and Don Diablo’s ‘Congratulations’ (more than 46 million streams on Spotify), the latter of which shot up the U.S. Mediabase Dance Chart through a surge of radio plays.

His 2020 single called ‘Look Into My Eyes’, which reimagines Charles & Eddie’s ‘Would I Lie To You’, spent ten straight weeks atop Australia’s airplay chart, taking the crown for the most-played song of the year from The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’. The song even entered the Spotify Top 200 in Australia, Austria, Germany, Sweden and New Zealand, all while clocking up over 58 million streams across the most popular streaming platforms so far.
