Faul & Wad Drop Breezy Deep-House Inspired Rework of ‘Cry For You’ featuring Dharia

Acclaimed French DJ / Production duo Faul & Wad announce a brand new release with the arrival of ‘Cry For You’ featuring rising Romanian singer-songwriter Dharia, out through Ultra Music.

An inspired deep-house reworking of the original 2007 club hit by Swedish artist September (Petra Marklund), Faul & Wad breathe new life into the original fusing unfiltered, throw back 90s house led grooves that align seamlessly with Dharia’s breezy, emotive vocal delivery, the end result is nothing short of stunning.

Faul & Wad explain: “We always dreamt about reworking this all time banger from our childhood times. We wanted to deliver a new modern take to the song, and we absolutely felt in love with the new amazing vocals from Dharia. After these difficult times without clubs and festivals that we missed so much, we had to release a new club song to party again and Cry For You is the perfect song for this.”

Faul & Wad

A meeting of two very talented minds provides the backdrop to the duo known as Faul & Wad. Over the last 7 years they have enjoyed individual success, combining their skills in 2012 to form a potent creative partnership that has resulted in their musical prowess being employed by Mercedes, Lykke Li and Galantis playing high-profile events like TomorrowWorld (Atlanta), Pukkelpop (Belgium), Solidays (Paris), Kaballah Festival (Brasil) and Nature One (Germany).

Faul & Wad are two young french music producers from Paris, they’ve met in high school and started to produce together since then. Faul’s first release was “Happy Endings” which reached the 10 millions clicks on Youtube, his next track was in complete collaboration with his best friend Wad and they finally released their first official single “Changes”.

Faul & Wad Ad vs PNAU “Changes” reached the top 10 charts in more than 12 countries in Europe and was #1 in German Dance Charts. Three years and almost 60 million views later, the boys have become the go-to pair for anyone seeking a fresh, sunkissed take on their music. Remix requests have flown in and they even had ‘Changes’ signed up by Mercedes as the soundtrack to one of their advertising campaigns for the C-Class. The duo has amassed over 320 million Spotify streams on their different music release. They are now back to provide this french house that we were missing so much.

Dharia

Daria Comănescu aka Dharia has been discovered only a few years ago by Monoir, the musical mastermind behind the much praised Romanian record label, Thrace Music. At only 13 years, she became a TikTok sensation with her very first single, Sugar & Brownies. Trending on the 1st position in Shazam India for several months in a row, the song racked more than 342 million plays on Youtube and over 46 million streams on Spotify, while being playlisted in no less than 400,000 user playlists. These figures placed her also on the no. 1 in Shazam India charts with over 1 million hits and brought her a worldwide licensing deal with Ultra Music, home for artists like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren or Hardwell.

Her second single, August Diaries, bearing the same Monoir signature sound, came as a confirmation that she is not just a one hit wonder, but a super talented singer. The song received massive support, being broadcasted all over the world on important radio stations from Romania, Bulgaria, Tunis, Turkey, Morocco and India. By the end of 2020, the 15 years old music prodigy released her third song “Tara Rita” under Thrace Music.
