Dombresky and Noizu are reconvening on their highly anticipated follow-up release taking the shape of their collaborative ‘Revival’ EP for Insomniac Records / Techne.
The house music powerhouses reprise old-school rave influences on their collaborative two-track package.
The dancefloor is still trying to come back to its senses from the boys’ first outing together. “Rave Alarm,” their ubiquitous tech house party-starter, has been ringing nonstop since it first surfaced back in 2018. During their slammed back-to-back set at Day Trip festival in SoCal, the iconic pair teased the announcement of their eponymous co-headlining show at the Hollywood Palladium. Somehow finding a way to make matters exponentially more interesting, the longtime friends are turning their penchant for 90s rave influences into two new certified crowd-pleasers.
Dombresky & Noizu have been friends since both arrived in Los Angeles, serendipitously living across the street from one another. Naturally, they took to each other’s production styles yielding some of the hottest dance and tech house records. “Jack Machine” and “Revival” are no different, blending each other’s strengths into dancefloor anthems. Reblok has been firing on all cylinders, so it was only fitting to pair up with him on the “Revival” release.
On the lead single “Jack Machine,” they opt for a well-oiled groove that hits all the right spots with mechanical precision. Chopped up vox and elastic basslines work in unison with the track’s combustive synth riffs, while a gruff vocal keeps the vibe in line.
They recruit the help of Serbian sensation Reblok on the title cut. “Revival” pulls out all the stops, as it builds on a frenetic warehouse energy from days bygone. Replete with a gurgling lead, shuffling drums, turntablist flourishes, analog stabs, and diva-ready vocal samples, this triple-pronged weapon results into an instant classic.
