Known for his eclectic style of blending electro, breaks, techno, disco and more, Liam Doc’s production and attention to detail is impressive.

His solid string of releases via Or:la’s Céad, Huntleys + Palmers, Roux Records, Shall Not Fade, Sulta Selects Silver Service, as well as his own Eyeangle imprint all offer a broad mix of styles and sounds that have rightly earned him a nomination for DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough Producer.

As one of Scotland’s most promising talents with residencies at Glasgow’s most well-known clubs, Sub Club and Fly, Liam Doc has landed on the cusp of stardom alongside Scotland’s finest Theo Kottis, Denis Sulta and Big Miz.

Continuing to grow on Scotland’s nightlife circuit as it begins to bubble once more, Liam Doc returns with an EP destined to mesmerize the dancefloor with approval already from TSHA, Eliot Adamson, Jaguar and others. Speaking about the release, he explains:

“The aim with this release was to come up with fun tracks that have appeal in a club and for general headphone listening. I love sampling and chopping up tracks so they’re unrecognisable from the originals and I think that shows across the tracks, especially the collaboration with Alex, really excited to finally get back to playing in clubs and hear them banging on a big system.”

Combining flawless precision kicks, piano riffs and killer vocal chops throughout, the EP is glittered with production prowess.

It’s title track, Not For Love Or Money showcases Liam’s recognisable boundary-breaking skillset. Whilst b side Fluid sees him join fellow Scot and newcomer on the scene, Alex Martyn.

Having already released his own melodic, quick stepping beats on Liam’s Eyeangle label, the producers make the perfect pair for an uplifting dance weapon that completes the EP.
