Following the release of its inaugural single “Can’t Say No,” which saw mau5trap mainstay No Mana join forces dance music heavyweight Tommy Trash, No Mana hints further at his upcoming project with another hard-hitting single. Continuing his unrelenting pursuit of bringing back the OG sounds of nostalgic electro house, No Mana enlists Wolfgang Gartner for the project’s second single, “The Original.” Wolfgang Gartner’s “The Original” is available Friday, July 30.

A pioneer of golden-era electro house sound, Wolfgang Gartner is one-of-a-kind. From instant classics like “Illmerica” to his coalescing with Skrillex for the timeless “The Devil’s Den,” Wolfgang Gartner’s scope is all-encompassing. Now, the bona fide producer flexes his triumphant sound on “The Original,” a veracious 4-minute cut serving as the second single from No Mana’s forthcoming compilation. Grungy snares and a distorted kick open the track as a cacophony of lurid vocals take control in this transcendent feature. Quickly launching into a frenetic onslaught of massive oscillating synths, “The Original” solidifies it’s standing as an electro house supernova for the ages. A longtime staple ID in Gartner’s live sets, “The Original” now sees it’s much anticipated release.

“I gathered a bunch of friends and idols to forge a hammer that beats a dead horse that is electro house AKA ‘best genre,'” says No Mana on his forthcoming compilation. “This started as a joke between EDDIE, Bentley Dean and myself as to mock nostalgic electro house (mostly the excessive releases of compilations and the ones that were ripped from YouTube). Now, I think the joke has gone a little too far; but we’ll go the extra mile. It’s in our tempo, bitrate, and pathetic crowd size…128 is the number of the beast.”

“I wrote this track a few years ago and have been playing it in my sets since. It was intended to be a secret weapon for my own DJ sets and it has served that purpose well. Now, it’s time to set it free into the wild and let others enjoy it.” – Wolfgang Gartner

About No Mana:
No Mana, nom de guerre of California-based DJ/Producer Jordan Orcaz has something to admit.

The years he has spent slaving away working on slide after slide of pixel art chicken nuggets, selling out thousands of the smallest capacity rooms he could find across the country, releasing half-baked originals and twice-baked collabs….  none of that has been for the fans. Not to make his family proud. No. It’s all been for one thing.

To create a world. A place just for him and his friends. Where broke college kids exchange wordpress blog posts for backstage passes, where the French and Italians throw the best parties, where the only cameras in the club are disposable ones. A world where Electro House is great again.

About Wolfgang Gartner

The most commercial alias for Joey Youngman – the DJ and Dance producer who also recorded as Bosco & Terell, Count Funkula, Frequent Flyers, Mario Fabriani, and Spyro Pappadopoulos, not to mention monikers for his several collaborative projects – Wolfgang Gartner functions as an outlet for his active and noise-packed electro-house productions, which contrasted greatly with his more sophisticated and “tasteful” deep house releases.

Youngman didn’t reveal that he was behind Wolfgang Gartner until 2008, once the alias gathered steam in clubs around the world. From 2007 through 2011, there were nearly a dozen Gartner 12’’ releases, along with remixes of tracks by Tiësto, MSTRKFRT and Britney Spears. The eventual release of a compilation album, Back Story, helped fill in the story.

In September 2011, Youngman released the first Wolfgang Gartner album, Weekend In America (Ultra), which allowed him to indulge in his love for rap music by roping guest appearances from Cam’ron, Jim Jones, will.i.am, and Eve, along with R&B vocalist Omarion. Additional singles on Ultra followed over the next several years, leading up to his second proper album, 10 Ways to Steal Home Plate, in 2016. Released on Gartner’s own Kindergarten label, it featured Wiley and Trina on the single “Turn Up.” He issued a handful of singles in 2018, including the club favorite “Ching Ching”, “Freak”, and “The Upside Down”, leading up to the release of his EP Medicine later that year.

2020 marked a new era for Youngman, releasing his latest EP Tucson in July, followed by two singles, Electric Soul and Battlestations, the latter featuring DJ and producer Kill The Noise. 2021 has proved to be even busier for Youngman, kickstarting the year with “Channel 43”, his long-awaited third collaboration with DJ and producer deadmau5. As he gears up for the release of his third proper album in Late 2021, one thing is for certain – Youngman is back, and better than ever.
