Chelsea Collins Pop Sensation Releases Her Second Single From Forthcoming Debut EP “Open Your Mouth” on Hitco.
22-year-old rising pop icon Chelsea Collins releases her new single “Open Your Mouth,” an early millennium power pop anthem fueled by the twisted, teen-angst energy that defines the era of early 2000s pop music.

The self-written and co-produced single tells the story of a past romantic relationship that left her in a constant state of uncertainty, oozing the emotional turmoil you would find in a coming-of-age movie. Her spellbinding vocals combined with the upbeat electric guitar and drum-lead chorus take listeners to the era of boy bands and Britney, and the transcendent track is just the beginning of Chelsea’s clear path to pop domination.
The accompanying visualizer is viewers’ ticket into Chelsea’s Y2K wonderland, the scene set with a Mean Girls inspired bedroom filled with pillow fights and troll dolls. We meet her boyfriend, who is incapable of much other than existing as his mouth is quite literally sewn shut. The irony of Chelsea asking him to tell her how he really feels is simply, for a lack of better words – so fetch.
“‘Open Your Mouth’ is a song I wrote about a guy I was dating who would vanish every two weeks, but then he’d come back and make me feel loved,” says Chelsea on the man who helped bring her newest single to fruition. “I could never read his intentions. It was a sad and confusing situation, so I turned it into something positive that makes me want to jam out like I’m at the Freaky Friday high school talent show.”
“Open Your Mouth” follows the release of her last single “Hotel Bed” featuring 5x GRAMMY-Award Nominee Swae Lee. The single has accumulated over 3 million streams across DSPs and has been championed by media tastemakers landing placements on various editorial DSPs including Spotify’s New Music Friday where it was the 12th most added New Music Friday song globally. Praised by Rolling Stone, Lyrical Lemonade, NYLON, EUPHORIA and more, the pop prowess is on an unstoppable path to stardom.

Chelsea Collins, the 22-year-old San Francisco-born and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist caught the attention of HITCO Founder and C.E.O. L.A. Reid during a 2019 studio session, and shortly after inked a deal with the label. Collins is also signed with S2 for publishing, the company owned by famed songwriter Savan Kotecha and Sonny Takhar.
Streamed over 55 million times, the young artist introduced herself in 2019 on “Tobacco and Tears,” and sailed through 2020 with a plethora of singles, starting with “Used to be (L.O.V.E.),” accumulating over 25 million streams. She then released her single “07 Britney,” a searing singalong showcasing the scope of her signature sound.
Following was her infectious single “Water Run Dry” featuring rapper, singer and fellow Bay Area native 24kGoldn, and her latest was a collaboration with Global Citizen, a track called “Higher Ground” where she was joined by Grammy nominated R&B artist Andra Day.
