UK artist MPH is fairly unique in straddling the divide between bassline and UK garage, and doing both exceptionally well. Case in point is his upcoming EP on Crucast, which delivers a track in each of these genres. The garage-focussed one is especially strong, and is indicative of a fairly new trend of younger producers combining the form of garage with some of the more bass-led sounds of bassline.
We have said it before and we will say it again, there is simply no stopping the Crucast rampage this year as they continue to collect and amass some of the strongest bass releases on the map. This latest project sees the return of MPH, his incredible texture building throughout the well-layered harmonies of ‘Can’t Wait’, along with the stripped back, pulsating sub tones of ‘116’.
