After emerging on the scene with breakthrough release, Purple Hub on Catz n Dogz’ label Pets Recordings, Dalfie returns with his Speaking Of Dungeons EP, marking his debut on Monki’s tastemaker &Friends label.
With a string of releases on influential labels including Glasgow Underground, Gruvv, New Violence, Lyceme Social Club and Poster Boy Records, Dalfie has already gained skyrocketing attention from the likes of Dixon, Dusky, Kolsch, Skream, Richy Ahmed, Anhim, Dusky, Loco Dice, Guy Gerber and more.
In particular, his Marching Powder release received a huge response, with BBC Radio 1 support from Pete Tong along with backing from George Fizgerald, B. Traits and Justin Martin.
Rooting back to his hometown of Glasgow, Dalfie’s progression into production spans a DJ career of 15 years. Heavily influenced from the age of 14 by his rave loving Father who used to share mixtapes with him and sneak him into parties, Dalfie’s early immersive club experiences carve him into the producer he is today.
With Monki championing the producer since his credible The Outlaw EP, Dalfie now makes his highly awaited debut on her &Friends imprint. Pairing stripped back house with 90s techno, Speaking Of Dungeons weaves pummelling drums with soaring house stabs and quirky pads. Whilst The Show combines multiple components of vocal distortions, acid groove and scattered percussion, marking some of Dalfie’s finest work yet.
