Parisian producer IVORY returns to Bassrush Records with his latest single, “HIGH KNEES,” out now. A rare, raw material in modern bass music, IVORY continues to refine his craft with surgical precision—this time, channeling his trademark sound design into a tongue-in-cheek riddim workout built for maximum movement.
A self-aware gym anthem disguised as a bass weapon, “HIGH KNEES” opens with sweeping, cinematic glissando seemingly plucked straight from a THX theater trailer before diving headfirst into a barrage of serrated synth squawks and gut-punching low-end. Its distorted vocal commands—half hype-man, half drill sergeant—fuel the track’s kinetic drive, turning every drop into a full-body exercise. Playful in tone but punishing in execution, it’s IVORY at his most unrestrained and unorthodox.
Describing the lighthearted approach he took to bring his single to life, IVORY says, “‘HIGH KNEES’ started as a joke in the studio. I was messing around with this ridiculous gym-energy vocal and it somehow turned into one of my most fun drops ever. It’s a track made to get people moving literally. It’s not a song with complex flow or hard to dance to; you can’t just stand still when it hits.”
The single follows last year’s ‘Steel Reign’ EP, a four-track display of force that earned coverage from Dub Rebellion, Affinity Ascension, Find Your Sounds, Dubstep uNk, Frecuencia Alternativa, and Beat For Beat, along with live support from SLANDER, Blanke, and Kompany. On stage, IVORY’s dominance continues with major appearances at BOO! Andy Caboche, known as IVORY, is a bass music powerhouse unleashing innovative sounds onto the electronic scene.
