Miami Horror launches new label “Temporary Pleasures” with debut from club alter-ego TOGETHERNESS

“Hard 2 Forget U” marks the arrival of Miami Horror’s disco and house collective. The Australian duo’s new label and project celebrate the unity of the dancefloor with modern disco, French house, and sampling-driven euphoria.

Australian electronic music act Miami Horror announces the launch of their new record label Temporary Pleasures alongside the debut of their club-focused alter-ego TOGETHERNESS. The inaugural release, “Hard 2 Forget U,” arrives as a celebration of classic house and disco sensibilities, marking Miami Horror’s return to the sampling-driven sound that first inspired his musical journey.

“Hard 2 Forget U” encapsulates the euphoric, loop-driven aesthetic that defines TOGETHERNESS – a project born from Benjamin Plant’s lifelong obsession with disco and house music. The track delivers straightforward, unadorned dancefloor energy, built around carefully curated samples and infectious grooves that pay homage to the golden era of sample-based house while maintaining a distinctly contemporary edge.

Sharing on the launch of both Temporary Pleasures and TOGETHERNESS, Plant reflects: “I had always gravitated to the feeling and ethos of house – finding a simple euphoric loop lifted from another decade and just repeating it in its simplest form. I liked how straight and to the point it was, sample house had no fluff, and the way it uplifts and locks you in is almost trance-like. In a world that feels more disconnected than ever, Togetherness is a reminder of the unity found in music and on the dance floor.”

Although TOGETHERNESS comes to public fruition now, it was born long ago during Plant’s youth when he first discovered disco & french house music through acts like Daft Punk and began digging obsessively for disco records, enamoured by their colour and panache. After years focused on other musical endeavors – including Miami Horror’s 200 million-plus streams and acclaimed albums like Illumination and We Always Had Tomorrow – Plant’s passion for sampling was recently reinvigorated as new methods of sourcing and sharing music emerged, providing access to previously unheard deeper cuts.

House music is all about following the feeling, I didn’t want to get in the way of myself like I had previously, so I just made these tracks for pure enjoyment” Plant shares. This ethos of pure creative expression drives both TOGETHERNESS and the Temporary Pleasures label philosophy.

Temporary Pleasures was created as a home for joy and euphoria, a space for dance music artists built around the community found on a dancefloor. Founded by Miami Horror, the label focuses on modern disco, French house, funk, and R&B, all rooted in the spirit of togetherness. Beyond releases, Temporary Pleasures will curate events under the banner “Pleasure Center,” bringing parties to places close to their heart while capturing the nostalgic spirit of Australian summers. The label will also introduce various mixtapes, showcasing like-minded sounds and artists who share its vision, giving a platform of discovery just like Miami Horror, and now TOGETHERNESS, once found.

TOGETHERNESS’s debut follows an extraordinary year for Miami Horror, which saw the project return after a nine-year album hiatus with We Always Had Tomorrow. With a catalog that includes anthems like “Leila,” “I Look To You (feat. Kimbra),” and “Real Slow (feat. Sarah Chernoff),” and performances at Coachella, Governors Ball, Electric Forest, Splendour in the Grass, and Just Like Heaven, Plant’s influence spans indie-electronic and dance music spheres.

“Hard 2 Forget U” represents a declaration of artistic freedom and a return to the pure, unfiltered joy of dancefloor music. As TOGETHERNESS delivers a steady stream of disco and house crafted behind the scenes, and Temporary Pleasures builds its roster, Plant continues to prove that his artistic vision transcends boundaries and connects communities worldwide across his multiple projects.

TOGETHERNESS is a dance collective helmed by Miami Horror, inspired by the unity and escapism that house and disco music provides. Although TOGETHERNESS came to public fruition in 2025, it was born long ago during a time when project frontman Benjamin Plant’s youthful obsession with disco, house, and sampling began. After being introduced to house music at an early age, particularly Daft Punk, Plant began digging for disco records, obsessed with the color and panache of the genre. Although this passion was strong, other musical endeavors took priority for years – only leaving flourishes of disco in the music along the way. In recent years, his love for sampling was reinvigorated as new methods of sourcing and sharing appeared, providing previously unheard deeper cuts. With TOGETHERNESS, Plant delivers straightforward, euphoric, sample-driven house and disco that celebrates the unity found on dancefloors worldwide.
