Prolific producer Matroda connects with platinum-certified artist KLP for their new collab for the Insomniac imprint, a no-nonsense tech track calling out the superficial crowd that tries way too hard to flex.
House music don Matroda and Sydney’s multifaceted tastemaker KLP join forces for the first time on “Bullshit,” a cutting-edge single out October 24th via Insomniac Records. Built as a scathing response to the social leeches who feed on distorted truths, the track channels KLP’s fierce vocal bite into Matroda’s uncompromising tech house framework.
Targeting all the treacherous posers and liars that are wasting space with their disingenuous energy, “Bullshit” is a no-nonsense indie dance track that calls out their bluff. KLP vehemently drags the crowd in question with her sharp, indignant vocal delivery, which is amplified by Matroda’s gritty, club-driven persuasions. Distorted basslines, crisp hi-hats, and stabbing synths work in unison to create tension around her combative cadence, resulting in a powerful tech offering meant to put fake people in their place.
Spelling out the type of shady people in which the fiery lyrics are taking stabs at, KLP says, “I could have written verse upon verse to this one—it was inspired by the many people out in the world who thrive off weak flexes and who struggle with being transparent and decent. I started the concept and it just poured out of me. I played it to some girlfriends that day, to whom it automatically connected with. And I hope it has the same effect for anyone else who hears it!”

The collaboration continues Matroda’s long-standing relationship with Insomniac Records. Since his debut on the label in 2020, the Croatian-born producer has released more than a dozen tracks that collectively have amassed millions of streams, including “Forget It” (79M), “Saturday Love” (22.4M), and “Gimme Some Keys” (25M). Currently on tour across North America, Matroda is currently performing at major festivals and venues including stops at Grand Park LA, Escape Halloween, Nocturnal Wonderland (with Wax Motif as ‘Waxtroda’), Breakaway, Contact Winter Music Festival, and Lights All Night.
For KLP, the release follows her Insomniac debut with “Running” alongside Dombresky and CHANEY, which received radio support from Kiss FM UK, KCRW, SiriusXM, and C89.5 FM, in addition to press coverage from outlets including Mixmag, EDM Tunes, and CULTR. A platinum-certified, ARIA award-winning artist, KLP continues to establish herself as one of Australia’s leading electronic music figures, with recent performances including Dom Dolla’s residency at Hï Ibiza and an upcoming Australian tour. Her recent single “If U Want My Heart” with KETTAMA and DJ Heartstring reached No. 1 on the UK Cool Cuts Chart and was named BBC Radio 1’s ‘Hottest Record.’
With “Bullshit,” Matroda sharpens the edge of his ever-expanding catalog while KLP cements her global rise as a fearless vocalist and producer unafraid to confront raw emotion head-on. Their pairing feels both timely and inevitable, a collision of two artists who excel at reinvention and boundary-pushing energy. As Insomniac Records continues to spotlight the future of club culture, this single is a reminder of house music’s ability to be both unrelenting and unapologetically human.
Croatian raised producer Matroda is the epitome of electronic music’s fleeting existence. Welcoming house music in his own unique way, with the aptly named ‘matrodasound’ coined by his true fans, the studio sets no limits for this unique but incredibly celebrated artist. Taking early influences from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Frank Sinatra and The Beatles while introducing classical training across the violin, drums and keyboard, the Matroda sound has proven its highly desirable accomplishment around the world over recent years.
From shows at EDC Las Vegas and Orlando to Nocturnal Wonderland, Matroda has solidified his presence, both on and off the stage. The natural born DJ and producer has dotted the map with top tier global festivals and sold out shows from Ibiza and Sydney all the way to Los Angeles and more. His first career remix of SNBRN’s ‘California’ with Chris Lake, proved an electric festival vibe-chaser gaining support from Diplo, Calvin Harris and Major Lazer, leading to further releases on Mad Decent, Confession and UKF. 2019 saw Matroda dropping one of the album’s of the year and his biggest project to date- ‘THE RED TAPE’, with features from Kaleena Zanders, Dances With White Girls, taking out runner up for best album following AC Slater’s Hi8 at #1.

Later in the year his collaboration with Wax Motif on ‘Lose Control’ garnered much support as well as ‘Walk In The Spot’- a true 2019 house anthem. In 2020 Matroda released ‘Forget It’ via Insomniac Records, hitting over 10 million streams to date. Topping the list ‘Disco Tool’ longside Bleu Clair went right to the #1 spot on the Beatport tech house chart, leaving lasting impressions on the industry and dancefloors alike. Fast forward to 2021 when he attained the 25th best producer spot on Tracklist1001’s renowned chart, following a string of Beatport #1’s and over one million monthly listeners on Spotify.
A new decade opened up and Matroda’s label Terminal Underground was born, releasing the first EP from himself titled Jack The House EP. ‘La Pasion’ reached top 10 chart status on Beatport’s Tech House Chart, in line with the release of the single ‘Lifting’ with 2022 welcoming ‘Gotta Let You Go’, both on Insomniac Records. The Matrodasound is making a solid mark on electronic music enthusiasts around the world, proving the road is only just beginning for this young producer with a promising future ahead.
Multiple ARIA award nominations, platinum records, and a reputation as one of the country’s most in-demand DJ, producer & vocalists, there’s not much the Sydney-based powerhouse can’t do. Breaking through as host of triple j’s House Party, KLP was a tastemaker from the start – a trailblazer helping shape the future of dance music in Australia.
Most recently, KLP teamed up with Kettama & DJ Heartstring on collab single “If U Want My Heart”, Dombresky & Chaney on “Running” and dropped new solo releases on Love & Other and Sweat It Out. This year also marks a major milestone as KLP makes her debut European shows, including a show supporting Patrick Topping for Dom Dolla’s night at Hi Ibiza. Not only a gun behind the decks, her songwriting prowess runs deep, having landed massive writing cuts for people like SG Lewis, Skrillex, What So Not, Sonny Fodera, Marten Hørger, Peking Duk and more.
Since hanging up her radio headphones KLP has gone from strength to strength, securing two ARIA Awards noms alongside Stace Cadet with their collaborative anthems “Energy” and “People Happy” (with “Energy” landing at #21 in triple j’s Hottest 100). KLP’s recent releases have found a home on Higher Ground, Steel City Dance Discs, Insomniac, MicroHertz, Ministry of Sound, Ultra Records, Doof, Sweat It Out & MRR, and her collaborations with Benson, BK, Ben Gerrans, Wongo, Offaiah, James Pepper and Loods continue to light up clubs, supported by heavyweights like Arielle Free, Danny Howard, Sam Divine and more.
