With 100,000 visitors from 81 countries dancing across Haarlemmermeer’s rolling festival grounds, Mysteryland 2025 was more than just another summer gathering. It was a closing chapter in electronic music history, ending with a breathtaking 15-minute end show featuring 800 drones that left tens of thousands of ravers speechless.. and set the stage for a new era to come in 2027.
A Festival That Defined Generations
Since its humble beginnings in 1993, Mysteryland has been more than just a festival. It has been a living cultural experiment, constantly reinventing itself while setting trends for the global scene. From pioneering electronic lineups in its early days to curating cross-genre diversity and embracing groundbreaking stage design, Mysteryland has always existed at the cutting edge.
2025’s edition was no exception. If anything, it amplified everything that makes Mysteryland unique — larger-than-life stages, meticulously curated lineups, and an audience that feels less like a crowd and more like a family.
Yet, behind the excitement also lingered a bittersweet note: this was the last time Mysteryland would take place in its iconic form. After a creative break in 2026, the festival will return in 2027 with a brand-new concept.

Hardwell returned in full force, igniting the mainstage with an explosive set. Marlon Hoffstadt brought groove-driven house vibes that kept the crowd locked in. Paul van Dyk and Eric Prydz delivered euphoric trance journeys, pulling at the emotions of long-time fans. FISHER turned the mainstage into a party playground with his signature charisma. Techno titans Indira Paganotto, Adriatique, SNTS, Patrick Mason, and rising name Benwal kept the underground faithful in a hypnotic state of flow.
The Dutch urban scene was just as strong, with Ronnie Flex and Broederliefde pulling massive crowds and proving Mysteryland’s reputation as a genre-bridging festival.
New Hosts, New Energy

Woodstock ’69 brought the beach club vibe inland. Radio De Koperen Hond curated a fresh sound journey. ARTCORE by Indira Paganotto showcased her explosive techno vision. Shelter, Amsterdam’s iconic nightclub, left its mark on Mysteryland grounds.
Long-time collaborators like Vunzige Deuntjes, JOY, Trance Energy, Paardenrave, and Nachtcollege ensured familiar favorites returned for this historic year.
The Iconic End Show: A Farewell to Remember
While the entire weekend was as filled with magic, it was the grand finale on Sunday night, that left us speechless. Mysteryland is renowned for its end shows, but 2025’s edition reached an entirely new level.
At precisely 11 PM, the pyramid came alive. Suddenly, the sky opened as 800 drones painted shapes, symbols, and patterns above the crowd. Combined with fireworks, lasers, video projections, lights, and a thunderous soundtrack, the result was a 360-degree experience that topped anything seen at the pyramid festival before.
For the first time, the end show carried a narrative element, centered around themes of connection and peace.
Sander Vermeulen, Creative Director of Mysteryland, explained:
“We wanted to close this chapter of Mysteryland with a finale bigger than ever before: a show centered around love and connection. What we’ve created here with Mysteryland is about complete integration. Drones, lasers, video, fireworks, and sound all speak to one another, forming a single visual and musical story. It’s no longer just about the technology; it’s about what happens when everything truly comes together.”
The crowd’s response was pure emotion — cheers, tears, and tens of thousands of raised hands glowing under the fireworks. In one word: wow!
Innovation Meets Collaboration
The finale was developed in collaboration with AB InBev / BUD, whose partnership allowed Mysteryland’s creative vision to reach unprecedented heights. Instead of a typical sponsorship, the collaboration felt organic — proof that brand partnerships can elevate experiences when incorporated directly into an event’s storytelling.
