UNVRS Ibiza Resident Bender Drops “WTF?”

BENDER UNLEASHES “WTF?” ON MARVELOUS ACCIDENTS AMID UNVRS IBIZA RESIDENCY

The enigmatic force known as Bender – electronic music’s most unpredictable architect of euphoria – is entering a defining new era. With his latest release, “WTF?” on his imprint Marvelous Accidents, and his highly sought-after residency at Ibiza’s groundbreaking hyperclub UNVRS, the artist has spent years defying categorization while building a loyal and enthusiastic fanbase on the world’s most prestigious stages. He is now fully embracing his role as dance music’s great contrarian, prioritizing authentic connections over industry conformity.

A no-nonsense house heater built for peak-time euphoria, “WTF?” delivers punchy kicks, a pulsating bassline, and an infectious vocal hook that taps into the raw, rebellious spirit of underground rave culture. The track builds around a vocal sample that holds deep personal significance for the producer, sampling the infectious line “la gente está muy loca” alongside the artist’s observation: “When I came to Spain and I saw people partying… I thought to myself, ‘WTF’.” For Bender, this perfectly captures his first Ibiza experience and the beautiful chaos of European club culture.

“‘WTF’ was a vocal track that I absolutely loved when I first started going out,” explains Bender. “I remember my first time in Ibiza; I kept flashing back to that line and thinking, ‘Yep, that makes a whole lot of sense now!’ That’s why I had to sample it.”

Striking a balance between classic house aesthetics and modern club appeal, the track exemplifies both Bender’s experience playing to diverse global dance crowds and the core philosophy behind Marvelous Accidents – his platform for artistic freedom that deliberately defies conventional industry branding. Created as a means to fully express his multifaceted artistry, the label embraces what he calls “musical ADHD,” the ability to traverse genres and styles without restriction.

Many labels and managers suggest maintaining a consistent style to keep your brand intact,” notes Bender. “However, Marvelous Accidents embraces all good sounds without being restricted to one specific genre. Consider it my personal artistic endeavor and a rebellious statement against conformity.”

This philosophy has served him well across a career that’s seen him share stages with RÜFÜS DU SOL, The Martinez Brothers, Carl Cox, and Tale of Us, while commanding residencies at the world’s most prestigious venues. His UNVRS residency at The Wild Comet – a micro-club hidden within the hyperclub’s restrooms – continues through July and into September, offering intimate open-to-close sets within the reimagined space that once housed the legendary Privilege.

With releases on major labels including Universal, Atlantic, and Warner, plus radio support from SiriusXM, BBC, and multiple episodes of Tiësto’s Club Life, Bender has established himself as electronic music’s most unpredictable force. Built for movement, community, and big-system moments, “WTF?” represents both a celebration of club culture’s beautiful madness and a manifesto for creative freedom in an increasingly formulaic industry.
