Returning to Perfect Havoc, Movada drops a 90s garage-influenced dance hit called ‘The Queen.’

Movada, the Leeds-based DJ/Producer’s latest bassline-heavy jam is already going viral on TikTok and flying high in several of Soundcloud’s editorial charts.

A frequent flyer on UK indie electronic imprint, Perfect Havoc, Leeds-based DJ/Producer Movada continues to captivate audiences with his bass driven dance cuts, seamlessly blending the sounds of the nineties and noughties with on-trend club-focused flavours.

This time, the breakout star serves up the nineties garage-inspired cut ‘The Queen’ on 23rd August and it’s already been making waves on SoundCloud and popping off on TikTok. Steadily climbing Soundcloud’s New & Hot Charts, where it recently secured spots at #20 and #24 in the Pop category, ‘The Queen’ is already showing early signs of being a hit.

Following on from ‘Make U Hot’ (feat. Jae Depz), ‘Love you Better’ (feat. Dáhda) with Sluggy Beatz and K.A.D., and ‘Sober’ (La Da Dee) alongside fellow Perfect Havoc favourite Stephani B, ‘The Queen’ is everything one can expect from a Movada production.

Loaded with nostalgic resonance from the outset, its chunky, uptempo 2-step grooves and dominating bassline pave the way for a catchy vocal hook and playful melodic elements, culminating in an instantly gripping contemporary dance banger.

In further signals of its appeal, ‘The Queen’ has already inspired over 143 user-generated creations on TikTok, amassing more than 3 million views and further cementing its status as a rising hit.

Movada has seamlessly transitioned from crafting sounds for EA Games to making waves with original productions that have earned him significant attention, including over 30 plays on BBC Radio 1.

Notable tracks include his tech house remix of Akon’s 2005 hit’ Bananza (Belly Dancer),’ which has garnered 27 million views on TikTok, and ‘Push It’ on Perfect Havoc, which enjoyed 13 consecutive plays on BBC Radio 1.

Movada’s work has also been featured on Love Island UK, and he has co-written and produced tracks for Matoma, PS1, Sigala and Becky Hill. Expect more collaborations from Movada this year with RITON, ESSEL, and Craig Gorman.

Now in its ninth year, Perfect Havoc remains at the forefront of crossover dance music, boasting over 10 billion global streams, six UK Top 20 singles, and numerous platinum, gold, and silver awards.

As the year progresses, the label has exciting new releases in store from Stephani B, Alfie Cridland, Scott Forshaw, and others, each promising to deliver even greater sound and energy than before.
