Poly Powder’s “Deep in My Mind” and “Ocean” : A Reflective Journey in Deep House and Trance.
Poly Powder, born in 1985 near Frankfurt am Main, Germany, discovered his passion for music production shortly after starting his family. Despite initial challenges, he eventually mastered the art of blending his primary genres, Deep House and Trance, achieving a sound that resonates with his creative vision.
His work is heavily influenced by a diverse range of artists, from contemporary names such as Ben Böhmer, Nils Hoffmann, Yotto, Boris Brejcha, and Romain Garcia, to industry veterans like Kai Tracid, Paul van Dyk, Moby, Above & Beyond, and Gabriel & Dresden. Additionally, he draws inspiration from non-dance music icons like Hans Zimmer, Drake, and Herbert Grönemeyer, enriching his musical palette.
Since 2023, Poly Powder has gained support from the renowned DJ and Producer Duo ANG, based in Los Angeles. His track “Deep in my mind” is particularly significant, as it embodies his personal journey and emotions throughout the production process. Poly Powder begins his creative process at the piano, developing melodies that evolve based on his inner thoughts and feelings.
With his track “Ocean,” he aimed to create a powerful tribute to the ocean, echoing the style of Nora en Pure. The composition features whale sounds, wave-like washes, and a deep bassline, immersing listeners in an auditory experience that evokes the beauty and peril of the oceanic world.
