Bass and House Specialists Movada & Jae Depz Drop New Single ‘Make U Hot’

Bass and House Specialists Movada & Jae Depz Drop New Single ‘Make U Hot.’ A Punchy Nod To The Golden Era Of Speed Garage, This Nostalgic New Release Draws Inspiration From RnB Classics And Rave House Sounds.

Crafted by bass specialists and two of Northern England’s most exciting producers, Movada and Jae Depz, ‘Make U Hot’ is a punchy nod to the golden era of speed garage, inspired by timeless RnB classics that set the dance scene ablaze in the noughties. This new single is out now on the chart-topping Perfect Havoc imprint – a regular home for Movada releases and a debut platform for the bright young star, Jae Depz.

Emerging from the city of Leeds, Movada has seamlessly transitioned from crafting sounds for EA Games to working with renowned artists such as Matoma, PS1, Sigala and Becky Hill. His tech house rework of Akon’s 2005 hit ‘Bananza (Belly Dancer)’ blew up on socials, with over 27m views on TikTok, while his Perfect Havoc signed track ‘Push It’ received an impressive 13 consecutive spins on BBC Radio 1.

With each and every track from the bouncy floorfiller ‘Closer’ with South London rapper, BAMY, via Love Island Syncs and co-writing credits for The Vamps, Movada always brings an electrifying energy to the stage and dancefloor with his pumping bass and garage beats.

While his journey in music began over a decade ago running a music studio in Bradford, Jae Depz has since stepped into the foreground with his house and bass releases. As a resident DJ around clubs in the North, Jae’s high energy mixes and vocal mashups quickly amassed him a core fanbase online.

It was his remix of the UK Top 10 dance hit ‘Asking’ by Sonny Fodera, MK and Clementine Douglas that switched things up for Jae after it went viral on TikTok and reached over 200,000 streams on Soundcloud, culminating in an official release on Sonny’s label, Solotoko.

Jae has earned himself notable co-signs with MK, TS7, and H ‘Two’ O, produced for prominent labels 3beat and NQ records, and continues to thrive on the DJ scene with regular appearances at the iconic Mint Warehouse in Leeds.

The pair pour all of their northern charm into this latest single. ‘Make U Hot’ is a dynamic fusion of nostalgic RnB, rave and garage sounds, utilising vocal, synth and drums samples from the classic 00s era, guaranteed to get the dancefloor shaking.

The releases on Perfect Havoc continue to come thick and fast, each bringing a bigger sound and energy than before as the label embarks on its ninth year. With further releases lined up from OFFAIAH & Connor Grant, Tom Ferry, PS1 & Jack Kelly and more, Perfect Havoc continues to push the envelope of crossover house music and to build on over 10 billion global streams, six UK Top 20 singles and multiple platinum, gold, and silver awards.
