ShockOne Causes a Frenzy via Genre-Splintering Drum & Bass and Hard Techno Hybrid Single “Voices” on NIGHTMODE – OUT NOW

ShockOne

ShockOne catapults into NIGHTMODE’s cutting-edge catalog with “Voices,” a genre-splintering weapon that finds the Perth-based producer welding hard techno and jump-up drum and bass into one combustible force. Out August 8, this marks his label debut, and it lands with the precision and fury only he can deliver.

Built to devastate the dancefloor, “Voices” unravels like a hallucinogenic fever dream: haunted vocal snippets slice through murky atmospheres before slamming into steamrolling four-on-the-floor kicks. From there, ShockOne launches into a frenzy of serrated synth leads, jagged low-end hits, and snarling horn stabs, bridging the kinetic chaos of neurofunk with techno’s unrelenting pulse. This one is a peak-hour juggernaut dialed for full-system detonation.

The new single arrives hot on the heels of ‘Organism Algorithm,’ ShockOne’s third studio album released via his own Dark Machine Records imprint earlier this year. The LP garnered widespread acclaim with streaming standouts like “Follow Me,” “Hardwired,” and “Heart On Fire,” featuring Pauline Herr—tracks that have pushed his global stream count into the multi-millions and soundtracked a sold-out album tour across Australia and New Zealand.

With a career spanning over a decade, ShockOne—real name Karl Thomas—has remained a vital force in electronic music’s evolution. From his debut ‘Universus’ chart-topping release to the cinematic grit of ‘A Dark Machine,’ his discography blends festival-sized impact with experimental finesse. He’s crushed stages at Let It Roll, Rampage, and Origin Fields, earning co-signs from genre titans while continuing to carve his own lane across the bass music spectrum.

With “Voices,” ShockOne doubles down on his reputation as a forward-thinking architect of drum and bass innovation, delivering a track that resonates far beyond sub frequencies and club walls. This NIGHTMODE debut underscores his enduring drive to evolve, reminding listeners exactly why he’s one of bass music’s most magnetic and uncompromising artists.

“This tune has been an absolute weapon in my sets lately. Sometimes, you just need to make an all-out banger to send people into a rage. Hopefully, I’ve succeeded!”—ShockOne
