Rising bass house duo Control Room has lined up their first release of the year. The single feels like a walk into a forest rave, ears filled with music blasting loud and the blur of the stage lights dancing in the trees.
“AH BA HO” is a song that immerses the listener into those visuals while its infectious rhythm compels movement. It begins with a repeating lilt of vocals as the topline fades in and the bassline builds. The track continues to drop and soar and isn’t ashamed of being loud. Not a soul can stay still when listening.
“After Shambahala a couple years ago, we went straight into the studio, feeling inspired,” shares Control Room. ‘AH BA HO’ was imagined at the rave itself, and that feeling carries through the track, from the weird but catchy vocal to the heavy, driving synths.”
The duo has been building momentum with their live performances and strong support from the electronic music community, including a recent spin of “For You” by Illenium on his radio show, as well as support from Diplo and Walker & Royce on their ”Freak” edit. They’re hitting stages across North America, with some exciting new dates to be announced this year. Control Room continues to deliver tracks that combine technical precision with unrelenting energy, keeping fans on their feet and anticipating what’s next.

Control Room is a Canadian bass house duo made up of Paul Biegel and Caleb Larsen. The two met in school studying power engineering before working together as control room operators in the oil and gas industry, a shared background that shaped both their partnership and the name of the project.
After discovering a mutual love for electronic music, they began producing and DJing, honing their sound in underground rooms across Canada. Control Room crafts house music built for the dancefloor first– driven by strong basslines, focused synths, and punchy drums without overcomplicating the moment. Their music has been played at festivals including EDC Las Vegas, HARD Summer, Shambhala, Burning Man, Lost Lands, Tomorrowland, and Ultra, as well as on Diplo’s Revolution (SiriusXM) and Insomniac Radio; with support from artists such as Dr. Fresch, BIJOU, Habstrakt, and Wax Motif. The duo has built a name for themselves in Canada, and now, communities worldwide are taking notice.
