Another unforgettable summer chapter has been written into the book of European dance music as Electric Love Festival returned to the iconic Salzburgring from July 3rd to 5th, 2025.
Nestled deep in Austria’s alpine embrace, the festival once again proved why it’s one of the most diverse and forward-thinking events on the global electronic music calendar. With a breathtaking location, a mind-blowing lineup, and an ever-evolving festival infrastructure, ELF 2025 was nothing short of a utopian escape.
This year’s edition saw the festival push its creative boundaries further than ever before. Over 200 artists performed across seven immersive stages, offering a kaleidoscope of genres, styles, and sensory experiences. From EDM and house to hardstyle, drum & bass, hip-hop, and techno, ELF continued to live up to its ethos: a celebration of electronic music with no borders.
Headliners brought an explosive energy to the mainstage. Major Lazer Soundsystem delivered a genre-defying performance, fusing dancehall, trap, and pure festival euphoria into one unforgettable set. Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Timmy Trumpet, Alan Walker, and Lilly Palmer brought the fire throughout the weekend, ensuring no moment stood still. Sub Focus and Dimension tore through the Club Circus stage with high-octane drum & bass, while techno royalty Deborah De Luca and Azyr transported ravers deep into the underground.
One of the more unique additions to the mainstage this year was Tream’s “Frühschoppen” concept—a Sunday morning set that combined German festival culture with emotional soundscapes, offering fans a soulful close to the chaos of the weekend. Meanwhile, the BlueBoXX stage served as a launchpad for ELF’s “Friends of Electric Love” program, where Dan Lee, Toby Romeo, Radio Rudina, and Slashy Disco each curated a day of genre-bending talent that spanned dubstep, disco-house, and more.
But the music was only one part of the story.
The festival opened with a spectacle that stunned even the most seasoned festivalgoers. A fully orchestrated, multi-sensory Opening Ceremony set the tone, featuring over 100 contributors—live guitarists, an orchestra, dancers, vocalists, and the cybernetic character “N.E.L.A.,” symbolizing ELF’s future-forward ethos. It was a cinematic, emotionally charged performance that blurred the lines between concert and theatre, pushing the festival into the realm of high art.
Each stage had its own pulse, energy, and visual language. The Club Circus transformed nightly, morphing from open-format madness to a haven for bass music and hard techno. Hard Dance Valley pulsed with relentless 150-BPM bangers from Da Tweekaz, Zatox vs. Holy Priest, and Angerfist. The Shutdown Stage was a darker, more aggressive realm where Frenchcore, uptempo, and rawstyle reigned supreme with names like Dr Donk, Krowdexx, and Unicorn On K.
The Heineken Starclub offered a more intimate duality—EDM beats by day, and Austrian hip-hop vibes at night with artists like RIAN and Money Boy lighting up the floor. The Almhütte became a nostalgic hotspot, throwing it back to ‘90s and early 2000s party classics in a cheeky après-ski setting, while The ORGANICS Beach stage provided a complete contrast—serene vibes, lakeside yoga, and creative workshops just a short shuttle away at Lake Fuschl.
More than just a party, Electric Love 2025 doubled down on experience. Campers had access to upgraded zones—Basic, Comfort, Caravan—all featuring hot showers, supermarkets, late-night markets, food stalls, merch stands, and even tattoo and piercing trucks. For those seeking luxury, ELF Hotels in nearby Salzburg provided a boutique option, with seamless shuttles delivering guests straight to the festival gates. This year marked a step forward in infrastructure, making the event more accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly than ever before.
As the lights faded and the dust settled, Electric Love Festival left its mark—not only as a celebration of music but as a fully immersive, emotion-driven, community-led gathering that seamlessly merged natural beauty with sonic innovation. With its new visual identity and its extended partnership with Salzburgring secured through 2030, ELF is no longer just a festival—it’s a movement that continues to evolve.
Electric Love 2025 reminded us what’s possible when music, nature, and innovation collide. For those lucky enough to be there, the memories still echo through the mountains. And for those who missed it—trust us, the countdown to 2026 has already begun.
