Berlin’s Get Physical Music welcomes Momoda for his debut on the label with Give Me Time, a soulful and melodic house release that showcases his ability to blend classic emotion with contemporary production finesse.
The EP features two versions of the title track, both driven by hypnotic rhythms, bright synth chords, and a warm, expressive female vocal that slowly surfaces throughout the track. Its long, atmospheric breakdown highlights the interplay between vocal and synths before surging back into a powerful dancefloor moment.
Born in Nigeria and now based in Barcelona, Momoda has been shaping his sound since 2012, blending house, afro, and techno. An early pioneer of Nigeria’s electronic scene, he now plays a key role in Barcelona’s club landscape, connecting cultures with every set.
With Give Me Time, Momoda channels the timeless spirit of soulful house through a modern melodic lens, signalling an exciting new chapter with Get Physical and a release poised to resonate with dancefloors worldwide.
MOMODA’s fresh blend of House, Afro and Techno has been moving crowds from Beirut to Barcelona to Lagos since 2012. A regular within these scenes, MOMODA has consistently proven that he’s at the top of his game, as a now Barcelona based DJ, producer and Superfekta resident, who can fluidly move between genres, he creates unique sets for the audience to connect with.
For Moe, it started in Nigeria, where he created a House Movement back in 2011, working with promoters and booking International DJ’s to join the party in Lagos once a month, ultimately becoming one of the prime movers in the newly formed Nigerian scene – something which remains one of his greatest achievements to date.
Playing for hundreds of clubbers every month, his outlook on DJing remains simple. “That feeling I get before I start to play is hard to describe, but it’s the reason I love to play. I love that you can use songs to create movement and to connect with the crowd. When I’m playing, I want people to be excited because I’m playing something fresh and different, introducing new music all the time and I want them to think, I can’t wait until the next time”

After a brief residency at Hotel Miramar Barcelona in 2021, Moe relocated to Barcelona and start making a name for himself. He quickly launched Superfekta and received a debut at Brunch Electronic – so that now playing in Barcelona feels like playing at home.
The move was influenced by Moe’s introduction to the BCN club scene, back in 2003, when he relocated to the city to study. Back then he was an avid club-goer, frequenting Pacha, Discoteque and Catwalk, who were regularly booking headliners at the time.
Moe hadn’t yet truly started to DJ. However, being quickly inspired by the scene around him, Moe started to hone his DJ skills, relying on the influences around him and a little bit of gut instinct…
“I count on instinct and sound. I always play for the crowd, I don’t stick to one style or sound.” Moe explains. “When I search for records, I always go through different Genres. I look for something that’s original and fresh. I always keep the dancefloor in mind and I try to imagine what kind of effect a track with have on the crowd. As long as my personal taste isn’t compromised, I really try to play for the room and for the different crowds in the room”
The opportunity to watch the big names close-up is the reason he thinks he has been able to thrive as a DJ and educate different types of crowds on the sound he loves, “Being on the dancefloor watching DJ’s perform is where I gather my knowledge and inspiration”.
Recently, Mo’s been taking a production heavy approach, and following his 2024 release on Anims, he’s been picked up by Get Physical for two singles, the first of which was released this December.
