Lisbon Dance Summit Reveals Its First Speakers

Lisbon Dance Summit will extend beyond the conference venue, activating events and parties throughout the city. The concept draws inspiration from Amsterdam Dance Event, which transforms the city into a large-scale festival environment, empowering local organisers and promoters to curate their own parallel programming.

Following an initial multicultural experience held last year in Lisbon through WARM (World Airplay Radio Monitor), it became clear that there is a strong need to create structured and inclusive spaces for dialogue within electronic music culture. The Lisbon Dance Summit now expands that vision into a city-wide platform, built on collaboration and shared responsibility, while remaining deeply connected to the communities that sustain the scene,” mentions Jesper Skibsby, one of the founders”. “Lisbon Dance Summit aims to establish Lisbon as a meeting point for electronic music culture, creating a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and international exchange”, adds Nuno da Silva Carvalho, also co-founder.

According to the founders the LDS mission is to “support talent development through networking and educational opportunities. The mission is to create stronger opportunities for the Portuguese electronic music ecosystem empowering artists, managers, labels, venues, promoters, clubs, professionals and fans through a dedicated week for electronic music.”

It is possible to register for early bird access and join the Lisbon Dance Summit, taking place at Casa Capitão from April 29th to May 2nd. All information is available in the website lisbondancesummit.com and also in Instagram
