Cloonee unveils his long-awaited debut album, ‘Are You Still You?’ The Hellbent Records founder brings together 16 tracks spanning the many sides of his sound via Good Music For Bad People / Hellbent Records.
What does it mean to remain yourself while everything around you changes? For Cloonee, it’s a question that has followed both him and his career in various forms… from listeners asking for the ‘old Cloonee’ to others continually calling for something completely new. Rather than choosing one version over another, his debut album, ‘Are You Still You?’, takes the opposite approach: bringing them together across 16 tracks and turning the question itself into the project’s central narrative.
Released via Good Music For Bad People / Hellbent Records, ‘Are You Still You?’ is about evolution without erasure. Drawing on different stages of his career while refusing to treat any of them as a finished chapter, it places earlier instincts alongside the sounds, collaborations, and ideas that have emerged as his world has expanded. The result is a project that embraces everything Cloonee has been, everything he is now, and whatever is set to come next.
That idea also comes through in the company he keeps. ‘Good Girl’ reunited him with Prospa after the huge success of ‘Free Your Mind’, while Chris Lake, Chris Lorenzo, Joseph Capriati, SOSA, Yandel, Ranger Trucco, Tocadisco, ATLAC, Galo, Fallon and Sirolf each bring a unique connection into the album’s world. Alongside those collaborations, Cloonee gives himself space to explore the record solo, with tracks including ‘Why Does Your Love Hurt So Much?’ and ‘Menealo’, while ‘Kill The Noise’ arrives as a short interlude featuring Harvey Whyte.
The album’s story began to unfold through a series of statement singles, each offering a different window into the project. The aforementioned ‘Good Girl’ with Prospa and Tristan Henry followed the chart-topping success of ‘Free Your Mind’, while ‘Get Up And Dance’, produced alongside Franky Rizardo, became another heavily requested unreleased ID throughout the summer before its official release. ‘Back Of The Club’ and ‘Movimiento’, meanwhile, broadened the picture even further, revealing two more distinctive sides of both artist and album in the final weeks ahead of its full arrival.

And while ‘Free Your Mind’ helped set his biggest summer to date in motion, reaching #1 on the UK Official Dance Singles Chart, Beatport, and Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, plus landing among Spotify’s Songs of the Summer, Cloonee has only pushed further since, turning that surge into a run of records that have kept the anticipation around ‘Are You Still You?’ simmering at boiling point.
From his formative days in the UK to his current base in Los Angeles, Cloonee has built his career around progression – as an artist, DJ and the driving force behind Hellbent Records. That evolution is central to ‘Are You Still You?’, but not as a retrospective dive into the past. Instead, the sixteen tracks give the album a breadth that truly reflects the artist behind it. First-time pairings and tracks that revisit the sounds that first defined him all sit together as part of the same story. Rather than asking which version of Cloonee listeners should want, ‘Are You Still You?’ makes a definitive case for all of them.
