Unveiling his third drop in three weeks, Cloonee delivers the final single ahead of his debut album ‘Are You Still You?’ with the long-awaited release of ‘Movimiento’, putting a fresh club-focused spin on Wisin & Yandel’s 2007 reggaeton classic ‘Sexy Movimiento’ alongside Hellbent Records signee ATLAC. Taking one of the records that helped define an era as its starting point, the track lets the familiarity of the original do much of the talking while the pair reinforce it for the floor with the punch, pace and drive of their own production.
Far from a last-minute addition to the rollout, ‘Movimiento’ has been sitting firmly in Cloonee’s rotation for months. From soundtracking Hellbent showcases at Club Space and Brooklyn Navy Terminal to headline appearances at Red Rocks and beyond, the fan favourite has already travelled extensively through his sets before finally getting its official release.
Landing one week after the hard-hitting ‘Back Of The Club’, ‘Movimiento’ completes the run of singles leading into Cloonee’s 16-track debut album. Three weeks, three drops – and all that now remains is the arrival of ‘Are You Still You?’ on 6th October.
