Built around atmosphere, tension and evolving electronic textures, the track reflects the duo’s shared approach to creating music that feels immersive rather than simply functional.
For AYMAH and SOFLA, sound has always been about creating an experience. Their music sits at the meeting point of emotion, atmosphere and cinematic storytelling, with each production designed to take the listener somewhere rather than simply provide a soundtrack.
That idea comes through strongly on “NDE.” The track moves through dark, driving techno territory while retaining a sense of vibrancy, creating a contrast between intensity and atmosphere. The collaboration between AYMAH and SOFLA began in 2023, following AYMAH’s return to music after several years away. What started as a creative partnership quickly developed into a much larger shared vision. Together, they completed advanced training at the Tomorrowland DJ & Producer Academy and built their own professional production setup, while developing a style centred around conceptual electronic music and non-verbal storytelling.
Their first official project, AYRIS, established that direction through melodic techno and emotional world-building. Rather than relying on lyrics to communicate a message, the duo focused on using sound, atmosphere and arrangement to tell a story. “NDE” continues that philosophy, but pushes the energy into darker and more intense territory.
Both artists remain closely involved in the creative process, from production and sound design through to visual concepts and artistic direction. Their long-term vision extends beyond traditional DJ performances, with ambitions for immersive audiovisual shows and animated projects where music becomes the primary language.
With “NDE,” AYMAH and SOFLA continue to develop a sound that combines dark elegance with cinematic scale. Released through UFO Recordz, the track offers a powerful snapshot of where the duo are heading, bringing together club energy, atmosphere and storytelling in a way that leaves plenty of room for the listener’s own interpretation.
