AFROJACK AND LUCAS & STEVE UNITE FOR “CONTROL” ON CHRIS LAKE’S BLACK BOOK RECORDS

AFROJACK AND LUCAS & STEVE UNITE FOR “CONTROL” ON CHRIS LAKE’S BLACK BOOK RECORDS. BUILDS ON AFROJACK’S KAPUCHON TOUR AND HIS SHIFT INTO THE GLOBAL HOUSE UNDERGROUND

GRAMMY-winning producer and multi-platinum music icon AFROJACK joins forces with Dutch duo Lucas & Steve on new single “Control,” out now via Chris Lake’s Black Book Records. Following AFROJACK’s recent Kapuchon tour, the release marks his first on the highly respected imprint and signals a defining step in his continued shift into the global house underground.

Long known for global festival anthems, AFROJACK has steadily been building credibility within the underground through his Kapuchon alias, earning support from influential names including Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello, Anyma, Dom Dolla, John Summit, and Peggy Gou. Ahead of its official release, “Control” was already generating momentum after Dom Dolla debuted the track as an unreleased ID during his recent show at Allianz Stadium in front of 40,000 fans, where it quickly became a standout moment and went viral online. “Control” builds on that momentum, translating the energy of his recent run of intimate club shows into a focused, club-ready release.

The release arrives as AFROJACK prepares for a standout weekend at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, where he will take the stage twice on Sunday, first opening the mainstage with his Kapuchon alias before returning later in the day for a full AFROJACK set. The dual performance highlights the breadth of his current artistic identity, moving between underground club-driven sounds and global festival moments, while reinforcing the evolution that “Control” represents.

Released via Black Book Records, one of the most trusted labels in contemporary house music led by globally respected producer Chris Lake, “Control” places both AFROJACK and Lucas & Steve within a new wave of forward-thinking house artists. The release underscores AFROJACK’s growing presence in credible club circles while showcasing Lucas & Steve in a new context that leans deeper into the underground.

Driven by a minimal, club-focused sound, “Control” reflects the same creative direction that defined the Kapuchon Presents AFROJACK Tour, which brought AFROJACK’s evolving house and techno sound into intimate venues across North America. The run marked a deliberate shift away from mainstage scale and toward deeper connection with underground dance floors, a direction that continues with this release.

As Kapuchon grows as both an alias and label, AFROJACK is positioning 2026 as a pivotal year for this chapter, with “Control” signaling not just a new release, but a continued commitment to pushing into more credible, forward-thinking corners of electronic music culture.
