IVORY Pivots to OG Sound With Four-Track EP Focused on Distinct Dancefloor Impulses and Emotions With ‘AXIS 01’ for Bassrush Records – OUT NOW

IVORY

Parisian bass heavyweight returns to the Bassrush label with his new four-track offering, a recalibration with his harder-hitting earlier work while focusing on distinct impulses and emotions that push dubstep to its limits.

IVORY reunites with Bassrush Records on ‘AXIS 01,’ a new four-track EP that finds the Paris-based bass heavyweight recalibrating toward his most unhinged instincts. Long regarded as a coveted figure within the subsonic electronic underground, IVORY uses the project as a rotational shift as he steps back from refinement and course corrects toward the unfiltered, unhinged energy that defined his early sound. Rather than chasing a single emotional lane, ‘AXIS 01’ operates as a system of impulses, each track pulling in its own direction while feeding the same forward momentum.

At the core of the EP sits “DUBST3P,” an aptly titled tearout statement built for maximum impact. The track opens with a harrowing staccato piano motif that feels lifted from a slasher film score, setting a tense, cinematic tone before splintering into full-scale sub-bass fury. Ominous melodies fracture into slamming metallic sequences, chirping laser flourishes, and woofer-rattling distortion, all stitched together by suspense-heavy chopped vocal samples. It’s aggressive without being careless—every element finely sculpted, yet delivered with feral intent.

The surrounding cuts expand the EP’s axis. Lead singles “HIGH KNEES” and “RESET” balance brute force with technical control, already earning heavy live rotation from Subtronics, HOL!, Level Up!, Kompany, DJ Diesel, Dion Timmer, and Samplifire. Closing track “IVAN,” a collaboration with CHAINMAN, adds another layer to the project’s modular design—locking into the same low-end framework while introducing a distinct energy of its own. Together, the four tracks feel less like isolated weapons and more like interconnected components of a larger system.

Touching on the orientation of his four-track offering and how it simultaneously looks forward and backwards, IVORY says, “‘AXIS 01’ is the foundation of everything I want to explore moving forward. It’s not about a single genre or emotion, it’s about direction. Each track represents a different impulse, a different pull. This EP is me stepping back, resetting, and allowing myself to move freely again, without overthinking where it ‘should’ go.”

‘AXIS 01’ arrives amid a career that has consistently bridged underground credibility and global reach. From early breakthroughs like his Beatport-topping “Retro” and releases on Never Say Die to sync placements in ‘Fortnite’ and ‘Roblox,’ IVORY has spent the last decade refining a sound built on precision and pressure. Recent performances across Apocalypse: Zombieland, Basecamp Live!, Warehouse on Watts, Bluebird Theatre, Phonox, and Oslo Hackney underscore his international presence, with upcoming highlights including SHAQ’s Bass All-Stars continuing that momentum.

Rather than a reinvention, ‘AXIS 01’ reads as a foundation—an intentional reset that prioritizes instinct over expectation. It captures IVORY in a moment of creative clarity, stripping things back to rebuild momentum without constraint, and reaffirming his place as one of dubstep’s most valuable resources.

Andy Caboche is IVORY, the bass music powerhouse unleashing innovative sounds onto the electronic scene. With an overflowing catalog of trailblazing solo releases, genre-bending remixes, and A-list collaborations, IVORY has solidified his place as a staple dance music heavyweight. IVORY exploded onto the dubstep forefront with his project’s inception in 2015. The 2016 single release ‘Retro’ skyrocketed to the top of the Beatport charts, achieving the number one spot while garnering mass support from industry figureheads including Skrillex, Zomboy, and Borgore.

His debut EP, ‘Hacked,’ drew the gaze of major league labels, earning him the first of many releases with NSD [Black Label] and a seat at the Disciple Round Table. Finishing off 2017 with his first international headline tour in Australia, IVORY’S notoriety quickly began to transcend geographical borders. Spending countless studio hours perfecting his craft, IVORY’s exponential versatility found international acclaim. The overwhelming success of his 2018 sophomore work, ‘Next Level,’ incited accolades from leading electronic heavy-hitters Excision and NGHTMRE.

IVORY continued to fuel this fire on stage, gracing renowned venues throughout Europe and commanding the decks on the Spag Heddy tour. Cementing his industry presence, he soon boasted a smoking arsenal of remixes for dubstep dons Herobust, Space Laces, and Dion Timmer. In 2019, IVORY reworked Gryffin and SLANDER’s “All You Need To Know,” boosting him further into the spotlight while he secured tour stops in China. The turn of the decade further proved the immovable force behind the IVORY project. 2020 continued his Never Say Die residency with the cosmic ‘Dead Space’ EP, a heavy-hitting interstellar journey of thematic sound design.

Arguably one of the most pivotal years for his discography, 2021 saw the artist join forces with Nitti Gritti and Shaquille O’Neal on the chart-topping single, ‘Moshpit.’ This song became a setlist essential for EDM’s biggest artists, certifying IVORY as a household name in electronic music. IVORY drove the destruction home, ending the year with the aggressively relentless 4-track EP, ‘Bleep Bloop.’ In recent success, IVORY’s name adorns both premiere labels and legendary lineups.

2023 included multiple releases on Monstercat and Cyclops Recordings plus official remixes for SLANDER and Kayzo. On the touring front, IVORY followed his Tomorrowland debut with his highly anticipated U.S. debut at Excision’s Lost Lands Music Festival, captivating audiences with his electrifying performance. He then embarked on successful U.S. tours alongside industry heavyweights Kompany, PhaseOne, and Spag Heddy, thrilling fans with his dynamic sets.

2024 saw IVORY expand his reach even further, releasing music on Gud Vibrations and making his debut on Insomniac’s Bassrush Records with his “Steel Reign EP”. That October, he dropped his biggest song to date, “Jackpot” with Kompany. After premiering the song at Excision’s Bass Canyon, it became a festival staple rinsed by nearly every notable artist in bass music. 2025 has continued that momentum with the release of his most aggressive and refined body of work to date, Riots, marking his debut on PhaseOne’s Sounds of Mayhem.

Most recently, he has reunited with DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal) for a high-energy drum & bass collab, Run It, further showcasing the depth and evolution of his sound. Looking ahead, the IVORY project is all gas, no brakes, armed with groundbreaking new releases, even bigger shows, and all of the bass.

IVORY’s new EP “‘AXIS 01’ is available on all platforms via Bassrush Records.
