CLAPTONE UNVEILS LONG-AWAITED FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM ‘WANDERER’

CLAPTONE

Teased for over a year, Claptone officially announces his fourth studio album, Wanderer, set for release on May 8, 2026, on his very own Golden Path / Warner ADA imprint.

The album feels like both a continuation and a transformation. It deepens the dreamlike universe that has defined Claptone’s artistic identity for over a decade, bringing together new influences, collaborators, and a refined sense of musical direction for the year to come.

The new album expands Claptone’s sonic language with quiet confidence. Analogue textures and organic instrumentation weave through his trademark melodic house framework, creating a body of work that feels fresh in its approach, yet unmistakably his own. Across its 11 tracks, Wanderer highlights Claptone’s enduring skill as one of dance music’s most versatile producers, not only navigating a wide range of styles but also elevating the voices he works with and stepping beyond the dance floor into a more restrained, deeper, and revealing realm.

In Claptone’s words: “Rather than chasing immediacy, Wanderer exists in the fragile tension between clarity and haze, dream and reality – introspective without retreating inward, emotional without losing precision. I wanted each track to feel alive and breathing, gently reshaping the moment instead of demanding it.”

The journey began in 2025 with the release of ‘Put Your Love On Me’ featuring Sea Girls, ‘Turn Up The Love’ ft Crystal Fighters, and ‘Phantasy’ ft Raphaella – early signs of the album’s atmospheric architecture. Warm, finely balanced, but with the unmistakable club melodies that have propelled Claptone to dance music’s highest echelons, the singles revealed an evolving artistic language.

On January 16th, ‘Black and Gold,’ featuring the sensual vocals of Hannah Boleyn, was released and quickly gained support from Capital Dance, BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, and Kiss FM. Further chapters of Wanderer will unfold in the months ahead.

“In an era of overexposure, Wanderer embraces the power of the unknown: A record that offers escape without detachment, introspection without isolation, and invites listeners into a parallel space where curiosity opens hidden doors, where beauty lingers just beyond reach, and where even the quietest moments shimmer with possibility,” says Claptone.

Claptone’s output has remained steady, with highlights including the acclaimed trilogy of Charmer (2015), Fantast (2018), and Closer (2021). Since Closer, his creative work has expanded to include launching his own club-focused label Golden Recordings in 2023, a celebrated collaboration with Alison Goldfrapp, and a 2025 rework of Chicane’s iconic “Saltwater.”

His touring schedule continues at full momentum, with performances across the world’s leading festivals, establishing a powerful global presence spanning Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia, and the renewal of his residency at Club Chinois in Ibiza for an extended season later this year. Currently ranked #32 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, after five consecutive years as the world’s #1 House DJ, Claptone remains one of the scene’s most enduring and distinctive creative forces.

With Wanderer, Claptone marks a new chapter and invites listeners into his most welcoming artistic vision yet, fusing the sounds people want to hear with those they did not know they needed. It reflects an artist always evolving, drawing on years of experience while staying open to new ideas, collaborators, and musical directions.

Claptone emerged from the shadows in 2012 as one of electronic music’s most enigmatic figures. Instantly recognizable by his signature golden mask, the DJ and producer broke through with the hypnotic hit “No Eyes,” followed by a run of globally celebrated releases including “Cream,” “Wrong,” “Heartbeat,” “Before I Lose My Mind,” and “Under The Moon,” firmly establishing his place in the international dance music landscape.

Blending house, deep house, and tech house with soulful melodies and pop sensibilities, Claptone has released three critically acclaimed albums—Charmer (2015), Fantast (2018), and Closer (2021)—and collaborated with artists ranging from Seal and Barry Manilow to James Vincent McMorrow, Nathan Nicholson, and Peter Bjorn and John. His remix work is equally renowned, with reworks for Gregory Porter, Mark Ronson, Elton John & Dua Lipa, Michael Kiwanuka, and Mylo, including “Liquid Spirit,” which earned a place on Barack Obama’s 2021 Summer Playlist.

Beyond the studio, Claptone is the visionary force behind The Masquerade, a globally touring event series inspired by Venetian masked balls, with immersive productions and world-class lineups. The concept has led to landmark residencies at Ibiza’s Pacha and Amnesia, as well as appearances at major festivals including Tomorrowland, Coachella, Rock in Rio, Creamfields, and Ultra Music Festival. A five-time winner of DJ Mag’s Highest House DJ accolade and founder of the Golden Recordings label, Claptone continues to captivate audiences worldwide through mystery, musical excellence, and unforgettable live experiences.

Claptone’s fourth studio album, Wanderer, is out May 8 via Golden Path / Warner ADA.
