The dynamic UK producer debuts on the Factory 93 imprint with his new two-track offering, two raw and rough house cuts imbued with his signature minimal and UK garage grit.
British producer DXNBY makes his debut on Factory 93 Records with a slick and slinky two-track offering. Out now, ‘Generate’ underscores his distinct blend of UK garage and house, a club-ready EP defined by the perfect balance of rhythm, texture, and tension.
The title track, “Generate,” channels DXNBY’s signature garage-infused minimalism into a weighty, hypnotic club weapon. Constructed around elastic basslines and a bed of shuffling percussion, the track’s raw, buoyant rhythm is countered by warbling synth flourishes and lush, swelling pads.
A touch of color peppered in tactfully gives it the grace to sit comfortably between the late-night haze of East London basements and the open-air energy of Ibiza’s terraces. Taking a decidedly darker turn on the B-side, “Dance Till Dawn” is sculpted around a sharp and punchy percussive framework. Hollowed-out leads trade places with deep, sawtooth call-and-response, feeding into the agenda of its gravelly vocal refrains.
Speaking to the headspace he was in while the two-tracker started to materialize, DXNBY says, “The ‘Generate’ EP came out of pure impulse. No plan, no big concept—just long nights, broken sounds, and a need to keep creating. It’s rough, it’s real, and it’s exactly where I’m at right now.”
Operating out of Leeds but born in Doncaster, DXNBY has spent the last half-decade refining a sound that blurs the lines between 2-step, deep tech, speed garage, and house. His potent cross-pollination of underground influences has made him a favorite amongst a host of like-minded producers, counting off names such as Michael Bibi, Max Dean, Jamie Jones, East End Dubs, Alisha, Cuartero, Sidney Charles, and Archie Hamilton.
DXNBY has steadily expanded his footprint within the club circuit, lighting up prestigious rooms such as The Warehouse Project, fabric, Studio 338, Eden Ibiza, Cova Santa, Pacha, and Amnesia Ibiza, with headline shows at Patterns (Brighton) and The Loft (Manchester), as well as a recent Halloween appearance at Club Tineke.
With ‘Generate,’ DXNBY funnels the grittiest aspects of his ever-evolving sound, with a sterling two-track debut on Factory 93 Records—a release that not only reflects his growing global presence but also reinforces his position at the crest of the next wave of UK’s vibrant club culture.
