The Australian singer-songwriter and producer makes his standalone debut on Lost In Dreams with an indie-infused melodic drum & bass groove written about the bewildering cat-and-mouse game associated with new romance.
Solomon France is an Australian producer and singer-songwriter renowned for fusing his sun-soaked surfer aesthetic and vocal style with waves of warm, bright drum & bass grooves. “Attention” puts his signature sound on full display and serves as his first standalone single on Lost In Dreams Records.
Love can sometimes be so disorienting that it’s almost impossible to tell whether feelings are coming or going. Solomon France’s new single “Attention” focuses on said emotional cat-and-mouse game, blending indie rock influences with a high tide of melodic drum & bass. The elongated hook pulls listeners in with an infectious allure that saunters between love-fueled and frustrated.
Clean guitar strums and undulating licks transform into swirling synth lines, creating a smooth foundational groove. Ringing open hi-hats welcome in the squelchy laser-led drum & bass drive, which punctuates the track’s textured low-end and bewildered vocals. Sun-drenched breaks and explosive builds expertly score the emotional push and pull, making “Attention” a head-spinning ballad that perfectly captures the tension tied to on-and-off-again limbo.
Exploring the inspiration for the single, Solomon France says, “This song’s all about that push and pull of a relationship that’s never quite settled, but somehow keeps pulling you back in. There’s this weird addictive tension. You want more clarity, more control, but all you get are answers out of reach, leaving you stuck in this endless loop of wanting and questioning. It’s that frustrating feeling of being hooked but wanting more even though you don’t really fully understand why.”

Hailing from Newcastle, Australia, Solomon France is a producer and singer-songwriter breaking boundaries by carving out his own genre, one that fans have dubbed as ‘Surf Drum & Bass.’ His sun-drenched sound evokes a sense of warmth and brightness reminiscent of the Australian summer. Back in January, he graced the Lost In Dreams catalog with his debut offering “Good Grief,” which was featured as part of the ‘Gateway Vol 7’ compilation, alongside like-minded artists including Jake Neumar, Monika Santucci, Howlan, Galena Crew and more. Solomon is now returning to the catalog to issue his first solo single, adding to his growing list of collaborations with names such as WRLD, RIENK, and Moon Jelly, as well as remixes for icons like Flux Pavilion and Fox Stevenson. His music has been getting a glowing thumbs-up from contemporaries including Futurebound, Fred V, Mazare, Just a Gent, and Steve Aoki—with many more expected to follow.
“Attention” is an upbeat ballad blending waves of emotion, a chill indie aesthetic, and a ripping drum & bass backbone. It’s a song that shows Solomon France basking in the glow of his own unique style; a whole mood that the Aussie can call his own.
