THE RELEASE MARKS THE NEXT EVOLUTION OF ALOK’S RAVE THE WORLD CREATIVE PLATFORM AS IT CONTINUES TO EXPAND BEYOND THE STAGE
Global music superstar Alok continues the evolution of his ambitious new creative platform, Rave The World, with the release of the Rave The World EP via Rave The World Records and Tomorrowland Music. The release coincides with the launch of Rave The World Records, the evolution of his longtime imprint Controversia, further expanding the project beyond the stage into a broader creative ecosystem spanning live experiences, recorded music, and artist development.
Following the world premiere of Rave The World at London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton, the new four-track EP serves as the musical foundation of the project while introducing the sonic identity that will shape its future. Featuring “Around,” “They Want Your Soul,” “Rave The World,” and “Fvck Your Bad Vibes,” the release draws inspiration from the original values that shaped the global rave movement, including unity, peace, love, respect, freedom, and collective presence, while reinterpreting them for a new generation.
Each track was first developed and refined through Alok’s Rave The World live sets, reflecting the sound he has been bringing to festivals and clubs around the world. Moving fluidly between festival energy and underground club influences, the EP captures the musical identity at the heart of Rave The World while showcasing the breadth of Alok’s current creative direction. The title track, “Rave The World,” features the official voice of Tomorrowland and one of the most iconic voice actors in entertainment history, Jim Cummings, further reinforcing the project’s connection to one of electronic music’s most iconic festivals.
Official music videos for both “Rave The World” and “They Want Your Soul” will premiere on July 28 as two interconnected chapters of a single short film. Directed by Adrian Villagomez and filmed in Prague, the videos unfold as a continuous narrative set within the Rave The World universe, exploring themes of technology, human connection, and the search for belonging before culminating in a large-scale celebration inspired by the collective spirit of rave culture.
Conceived as the first electronic music experience designed for the post-AI generation, Rave The World encourages audiences to disconnect from algorithms, embrace the present moment, and reconnect through the shared energy of the dancefloor. While the immersive live experience brings those ideas to life through cinematic visuals, immersive lighting, and the RAVEBOX stage concept, the EP translates that philosophy into music, balancing peak-time club records with emotional depth while celebrating the culture, connection, and collective energy that have defined rave music for generations.
Launching alongside the EP, Rave The World Records builds on the foundation established by Alok’s longtime imprint, Controversia, introducing a more curated approach built around music that reflects his current sound, DJ sets, and creative vision. Alongside Alok’s own releases, the label will champion a select roster of artists whose music aligns with that philosophy. Every release will carry Alok’s direct creative endorsement, reflecting music he genuinely believes in, plays in his DJ sets, and actively supports. The longstanding Controversia radio show and playlist will also evolve under the Rave The World name, further unifying the project’s growing creative universe.
The release continues one of the most creatively ambitious chapters of Alok’s career. Recent releases including “Dive Into Me” with Khalid, “Mind Illuminate” with SIDEPIECE and Victor Ruiz, “My Own Thang (To The Beat)” with Sophiegrophy and Walker & Royce, “Flavour” with Still Val, “I Wonder If You Know” under his SOMETHING ELSE alias, and his collaboration with Jennifer Lopez, “Everything’s Fine,” have highlighted his ability to move fluidly between underground club music, global pop collaborations, and more conceptual artistic projects. The Rave The World EP brings those worlds together while establishing the musical identity of a platform that now extends across live performance, recorded music, and artist development.
Known for performing in front of some of the largest audiences in the world – including more than 2.5 million people at Copacabana Beach and over 2 million attendees during Salvador Carnival – Alok is increasingly focused on creating experiences that foster a deeper connection between artist and audience. Following its acclaimed world premiere in London, Rave The World will make its North American debut on August 1 at the newly reopened Pacha New York, presented by Tomorrowland, continuing the project’s global expansion.
