From August 28-30, the Brazilian electronic music powerhouse will host another surprise event at one of NYC’s most emblematic skate spots and two headline shows, first at Under the K Bridge, followed by a sold-out performance at RUINS at Knockdown Center.
This weekend, Mochakk returns to New York City for a three-day takeover spanning some of the city’s most celebrated cultural spaces. Across August 28-30, the widely acclaimed Brazilian electronic music artist will headline three distinct events across New York, bringing together electronic music, community and the creative energy that has become synonymous with his name.
The takeover marks another milestone in Mochakk’s growing presence in one of the world’s most influential music hubs and builds on the momentum of his viral New York ice cream block party and Tricks & Tracks at the Venice Beach skatepark, which drew thousands of fans on both occasions for impromptu activations and block parties. This year’s concept expands on that spirit, unfolding across an entire weekend with three landmark events.
The weekend begins on Friday, August 28, with Tricks & Tracks at one of New York’s most iconic skate spots and a defining landmark in skate culture. The full event schedule will be revealed tomorrow. Together with Amazon Music and Twitch, the event will be livestreamed globally from 4 PM ET via Twitch Music, bringing the Tricks & Tracks experience to fans around the world. Supported by Oakley and Bose, the event will unite skateboarding, music and community in the heart of NYC.
Details will remain under wraps until this Friday, with clues released across Mochakk’s social channels in the lead-up. Fans can also sign up for updates to be among the first to receive location details before they are announced publicly.
On Saturday, August 29, the takeover moves to Under the K Bridge, where Mochakk headlines alongside Anastazja and Minx b2b Holographic. The weekend concludes on Sunday, August 30, with yet another headline show at RUINS at Knockdown Center, already sold out during pre-sale.
Mochakk aka. Pedro Maia has become one of Brazil’s defining electronic music exports, breaking through with ‘Jealous’ on CircoLoco Records before releasing the ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099’ double EP and streaming hits such as ‘Da Fonk’ featuring Joni, which has amassed over 60 million Spotify streams. Four years after its original release, the classic returns via Nervous Records on August 28 with a major remix pack featuring Marco Carola, Confidence Man, Cinthie, DJ Gigola, Classmatic, Solarce Brothers, DJ Fuzil, Bronka, Deekapz and kLap.
The release will also be available as a limited-edition three-vinyl set, also available for purchase at Mochakk’s NYC events this weekend, marking a new chapter for one of Mochakk’s signature tracks. Alongside his own productions, including a recent reinterpretation of Nina Simone’s ‘See-Line Woman’, his label MOTRAXX has become a launchpad for emerging Brazilian electronic artists.
In the US, he has built a devoted following through standout events such as his New York ice cream truck and block party, Tricks & Tracks at Venice Beach, and sold-out editions of his own event series Mochakk Calling in New York, Miami and Denver, culminating in a 12,000-capacity headline show on Hollywood Boulevard at the end of 2025. That momentum continued into 2026 with performances across both weekends of Coachella, where he debuted MOCHAKK THE GAME at the Sahara Stage, a bespoke production inspired by classic video games.
The New York takeover is the latest chapter in that evolution. It brings together the different elements of Mochakk’s creative world, from intimate fan experiences to headline performances, across three days in one of the world’s fastest-growing destinations for dance music.
