Shlump shares “Cartoons,” out as of February 17th, the second single from his forthcoming debut album arriving later this year.
“Cartoons” expands the LP’s palette with a fusion of ‘West Coast steez’ and modern dubstep weight.
The track features Pure Powers, longtime collaborators and real-life childhood friends, which gives the record an organic chemistry that cuts through.
It feels playful but intentional, balancing funk-driven swing with low-end aggression in a way that reflects where Shlump is headed sonically.
On his largest headline run to date, including shows at Ogden Theatre and The Webster, and stepping confidently into his debut album era, Shlump continues to evolve as a producer by refining his sound beyond formulaic drops into something more intentional and distinctly his own.
