Amsterdam-brewed drum & bass duo T & Sugah and London-based songstress Nu-La link up on their new single for Bassrush, a cinematic vocal-driven dancefloor cut steeped in their shared affinity for connection and cinematic storytelling.
Amsterdam’s T & Sugah join forces with London-based singer-songwriter Nu-La for “Overflow,” an emotionally-charged drum and bass anthem out today via Bassrush Records. The track captures a pivotal moment of transformation, translating its message through a fusion of soulful vocals, cinematic horn stabs, and T & Sugah’s signature dancefloor precision.
Driven by Nu-La’s commanding vocal range, moving from introspective vibrato into soaring, full-bodied release, “Overflow” unfolds with both tenderness and power. Its steppy, jump-up groove carries an elegance that reveals restraint amid energy, while glowing atmospheres and crisp percussion interlace with brass flourishes to amplify the song’s sense of renewal. The result is a production that feels both euphoric and reflective, perfectly aligning the emotional storytelling of Nu-La with T & Sugah’s refined melodic instincts.
The single follows the Dutch duo’s 2024 Bassrush debut “Bebe” alongside game-changing producer, Justin Hawkes, which earned tastemaker support from Illenium, Fred V, Teddy Killerz, and Nelver, alongside coverage from Drum and Bass UK, Airwave Drum & Bass, DRUMWAVE, and Find Your Sounds. Their growing influence has also translated to global radio, with spins on BBC Radio 1 and George FM, as well as high-profile festival appearances at Tomorrowland, Sziget, Rampage, and Let It Roll. Fresh off a headline tour across China and a stage curation at Let It Roll, T & Sugah continue to solidify their position as one of drum and bass’s most unifying forces today.
Through their High Tea Music imprint, T & Sugah have transformed their ‘Communitea’ concept into a thriving cultural movement—one built on connection, belonging, and shared energy. Their viral releases “Lose Control” and “Lo Lo” cemented their crossover appeal with tens of millions of views across social platforms, while collaborations like “The Formula” with Don Diablo underscore their range and momentum.
Nu-La continues her ascent as one of the UK’s most in-demand voices in dance music. The Leicester-born artist first broke through under her alias Nuala before introducing her dance project in 2022 with CHANEY’s “Love Again,” which surpassed 20 million streams. Since then, she’s collaborated with Grafix, Freaks & Geeks, Andromedik, and Fred V, while her work with Kaskade, MEDUZA, Massano, and Benny Benassi reflects her versatility across the broader electronic landscape. With a slate of upcoming records alongside heavyweights like CamelPhat and Sonny Fodera, Nu-La’s trajectory continues to rise at a remarkable pace.

“Overflow” marks another standout addition to the Bassrush Records catalog – one that bridges the label’s forward-facing drum and bass vision with the emotional storytelling that defines both artists. Uniting T & Sugah’s community-driven ethos and Nu-La’s powerful vocal presence, the single reinforces Bassrush’s role as a global hub for connection, creativity, and cutting-edge bass music.
