BAUGRUPPE90 showcases softer side of their forward-thinking club sound with euphoric hardgroove single “Body Drift” on HARD Recs – OUT NOW

BAUGRUPPE90

Berlin’s beloved club duo returns to HARD Recs to release their sophomore single, a floaty and euphoric techno record underscoring their softer side.

Berlin-based duo BAUGRUPPE90 return to HARD Recs with “Body Drift,” a peak-time techno weapon engineered for long nights and locked-in dancefloors. Following their label debut “Flight Tracker,” the new single sharpens the pair’s hybrid vision—where industrial futurism collides with the propulsion of ‘90s rave culture and early-2000s club mechanics.

“Body Drift” is built on a bold, hardgroove backbone. Pummeling rhythms and thick, rolling kicks drive the track forward with unrelenting momentum, while ghostly atmospherics seep through the cracks. Shimmering prog-leaning synth lines and perfectly spaced chord flashes add lift and tension, giving the groove room to breathe without sacrificing pressure. A dreamy vocal loop drifts in and out of focus, gliding across the arrangement like vapor under strobe lights: hypnotic, weightless, and subtly seductive.

Touching on the different wavelength they’ve tapped into for their new single, BAUGRUPPE90 says, “‘Body Drift’ brings out the softer side of us and allows us to show even more how versatile our sound is. It has to be soft, sometimes, so that it can be hard.”

The release arrives as the next chapter after “Flight Tracker,” which drew tastemaker support from 33 Below, Oliver Heldens, Stoneface & Terminal, Julian Mesa, Alan Fraze, and M.I.T.A, alongside press coverage from Undrtone, House Nest, IHouseU, Rhythm Resonance, Last Day Deaf, FrontView Magazine, Fresh Music Freaks, R Sound, Grauu, Beat For Beat, and Perspective. Together, the two singles outline BAUGRUPPE90’s club-forward, detail-obsessed, and unapologetically future-facing lane.

Made up of Louis Köhler and Paul Vogler, BAUGRUPPE90 operate from the heart of Berlin’s techno ecosystem, feeding industrial textures and futuristic aesthetics into a framework inspired by mid-’90s drum & bass, house, and early techno. Their sound feels both nostalgic and newly machined—precision-built for modern systems while nodding to the raw energy that defined earlier rave eras.

Momentum behind the project continues to build following a 15-stop Fall tour across North America and Australia, including upcoming headline dates at Mai Mao in France, Flash in Washington D.C., TAKEOVER 6IX and KONDUKTOR in Toronto, Halcyon SF, and a homecoming set at OST in Berlin.

With “Body Drift,” BAUGRUPPE90 reaffirm their place in the late-night conversation. It’s a record designed for dark rooms and restless bodies, delivering forward-driving techno that doesn’t chase trends, but quietly recalibrates them from the inside out.

Based in the heart of cutting-edge techno and nightlife, BAUGRUPPE90 is the innovative project of Louis Köhler and Paul Vogler. Their sound fuses futuristic and technical elements with influences from mid-90s DNB, House, and early 2000s techno, crafting a genre-defying experience that feels both modern and timeless. Since their emergence, BAUGRUPPE90 has made a significant impact on the techno scene with their distinctive approach and visionary sound. Each release reflects their commitment to a futuristic and aesthetic vision, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in electronic music.

BAUGRUPPE90’s new single “Body Drift” is available on all platforms via HARD Recs.
