LO'99 and Ray Foxx

Australian producer LO’99 links up with the UK’s Ray Foxx for their new collab on Insomniac’s new label, a euphoric rave / breakbeat offering prime for dancefloor action from dusk till dawn.

Australian producer LO’99 reconnects with UK hitmaker Ray Foxx for their latest joint outing, “JOY,” out today on Insomniac’s Speaker Freaker imprint. The single bridges continents and creative sensibilities, melding LO’s underground club instincts with Foxx’s timeless ear for groove into a radiant breakbeat cut built to light up dancefloors from dusk till dawn.

A masterclass in energy and restraint, “JOY” revolves around a euphoric vocal loop that feels instantly familiar yet endlessly replayable. Beneath it, crisp breaks tumble through reese bass swells, lush string pads, and dubwise siren echoes, while warm synth chords glimmer like sunrise over a warehouse skyline. The track embodies its title to the fullest through balancing rhythm and release in equal measure; it glows with the spirit of early rave euphoria polished through a modern lens.

Touching on their longstanding history together and the secret sauce that makes their new single so special, LO’99 shares: “I’ve worked on a bunch of music with Ray Foxx over the last few years. Apart from this being my favorite thing I’ve made with him, I think it might actually be my favorite record that I’ve made, full stop. Big reece bassline action under a break that proper jammmms with uplifting chords and vocal licks—a recipe to my heart! I love it, and I hope it brings you the same vibe when listening to it, too!”

This marks the duo’s fourth collaboration in nearly a decade, a partnership that has evolved in lockstep with their own artistic trajectories. Previous singles earning heavyweight support from artist like Dom Dolla, Gorgon City, Anna Lunoe, Dombresky, Dusky and more, solidifying a chemistry that transcends trends. With “JOY,” they channel that connection into something both nostalgic and forward-looking—a global blend of UK bass and Australian rave spirit shaped across sessions in Los Angeles, London, and Sydney.
