ÆON:MODE Plunges Into Deep-Space Turbulence With Cosmic Jump Up Drum & Bass Weapon “RUN” via Bassrush Records – OUT NOW

ÆON:MODE

Australian powerhouse producer ÆON:MODE debuts on the Bassrush label with a cosmic jump-up track created for his sold-out Bassrush show at Exchange LA in January.

Australian-born, Denver-based producer ÆON:MODE makes his debut on Bassrush Records with “RUN,” a ferocious jump-up drum & bass single out today.

Originally conceived as a custom DJ weapon for his sold-out Bassrush headline show at the start of the year, “RUN” has since evolved into a full-fledged crowd-detonator. What began as a set opener has taken on a life of its own: a turbulent collision of steppy percussion, searing synths, and low-end mayhem that captures the electricity of ÆON:MODE’s high-velocity live sets.

Recapping how the track went from a live club tool to his new single, ÆON:MODE says, “I made ‘RUN’ just for the intro of my Exchange LA show back in January, and about 30 seconds into that set, I knew I had to finish it. The energy in that room was unreal. Kinda crazy to think I played it for the first time at my first Bassrush headline show, and now it’s my first official Bassrush release, too. Full-circle moment, for sure.”

Built for maximum impact, “RUN” plunges listeners into deep-space turbulence from the first bar. Celestial melodies dissolve into snarling sub-bass growls and serrated leads that slice through breakbeat chaos. The track’s structure operates like a feedback loop of tension and release—rippling basslines answering back to screeching rave motifs in nonstop call-and-response. It’s drum & bass at its most primal and cinematic, engineered to set off festivals and warehouse floors alike.

The release caps a milestone year for ÆON:MODE, whose rise through the drum & bass ranks has been nothing short of meteoric. Across 2025 alone, his records have earned over 15 plays on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Drum & Bass Show,’ amassed 5.5 million Spotify streams, and drawn playlist support from Spotify’s Massive Drum & Bass, All New Dance, and Bass Arcade, along with Apple Music’s Future Dance Hits and Breaking Dance. His remix of Ray Volpe’s “Laserbeam,” a festival staple with over 9 million streams, was crowned the 10th most-played D&B track of 2023 by 1001Tracklists.

Onstage, ÆON:MODE’s global footprint continues to expand. Recent appearances include Beyond Wonderland SoCal, Liquicity Festival (Amsterdam), Miami Music Week, and direct support for WORSHIP at Red Rocks. Next up, he’s slated for a B2B with Delta Heavy at Apocalypse: Zombieland, while preparations are underway for his debut U.S. headline tour in early 2026.

Behind the alias is a producer whose roots in drum & bass run deep. As BLANKE, Orchison has amassed nearly 200 million streams across collaborations with Illenium, REZZ, Zeds Dead, and Seven Lions, but ÆON:MODE channels something rawe—an outlet that reconnects him with the high-BPM energy that first ignited his passion for electronic music. Drawing inspiration from icons like Pendulum, Sub Focus, and Metrik, he’s redefined his creative boundaries while carving a distinct lane within modern drum & bass.

ÆON:MODE

With “”RUN,” ÆON:MODE transforms what began as a live intro into an all-out sonic assault—a weaponized statement piece signaling the next phase of his evolution. Unrelenting, futuristic, and unapologetically heavy, it solidifies his arrival in the Bassrush ecosystem and cements ÆON:MODE as one of drum & bass’ most electrifying new forces.

ÆON:MODE is the Drum & Bass brainchild of Australian-born, Denver-based producer JP Orchison, best known as Blanke. While Blanke has made waves in Dubstep, Mid-Tempo, and Melodic Bass with over 198 million streams and collaborations with industry giants like Illenium, REZZ, Zeds Dead, and Seven Lions, ÆON:MODE is a dedicated creative lane—one that reconnects Orchison with his earliest influences in Drum & Bass, drawing inspiration from legends like Pendulum, Sub Focus, and Metrik.

The seeds of ÆON:MODE were planted in 2021 when Blanke’s D&B singles “Alchemy” and “Mystery” became the #1 and #2 most played tracks on triple j in Australia. The project was officially introduced on a run of Australian shows under the ‘Blanke Presents ÆON:MODE’ banner, but it was in 2023 that ÆON:MODE truly came to life. The tipping point? A high-octane remix of Ray Volpe’s festival anthem “Laserbeam,” which has surged past 7.4 million Spotify streams to date & landed in the Top 10 Most Played Drum & Bass Tracks of 2023 on 1001Tracklists.

The remix garnered support from the genre’s heaviest hitters—Sub Focus (who included it in his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix), Chase & Status, Andy C, Wilkinson, Metrik, Bou, Koven, Culture Shock, Friction, and more. Soon after, Orchison teamed up with long-time influence Metrik for “Awake” on Hospital Records, followed by a standout run of shows that took ÆON:MODE from club stages to major festival slots. In 2023 & 2024 ÆON:MODE appeared at the likes of Red Rocks (Denver), Melkweg (Amsterdam), It’s The Ship (Singapore), Rampage Open Air (Belgium), Listen Out (Australia), and secured direct support slots for Andy C, Chase & Status, and Zeds Dead.

In early 2024, Orchison launched the ‘Earth to the Stars’ Tour, performing as both Blanke and ÆON:MODE across North America in single-night double sets. Stops included sold out iconic venues like The Midway (San Francisco), Ogden Theatre (Denver), and Webster Hall (NYC). Summer 2024 solidified ÆON:MODE’s presence on the global stage: festival plays included Tomorrowland (Belgium), EDC Las Vegas, Nature One (Germany) with Rampage, Beyond Wonderland PNW, Bonnaroo (on the Chase & Status-curated stage), Forbidden Kingdom, and ÆON:MODE’s own curated stage at Deadbeats Jamboree in Dallas, TX.

In September, he was hand-picked by his early heroes Pendulum as direct support on their U.S. tour – a career highlight. The second half of 2024 delivered three massive releases; “State of Mind” w/ Friction ft. Lauren L’aimant, “Lonely” w/ Bertie Scott & “STOP, GO”, which peaked at #2 on Beatport’s Drum & Bass Top 100. All of this momentum culminated in 2025 with the release of “Polarised” alongside Koven, which passed 1.1 million streams in its first month, a sold-out debut U.S. headline show at Exchange LA, a b2b set with Drum & Bass legend Culture Shock at Beyond Wonderland SoCal, Support slots for Hedex, a collaboration with Fred V on Hospital records and a coveted booking on the Worship Artists Miami Music Week Showcase.

With close to 12 million cumulative streams as ÆON:MODE, growing international demand, and high-profile releases continuing to roll out, Orchison’s Drum & Bass alias has graduated far beyond side project status—it’s become a powerhouse of its own.

ÆON:MODE’s new single “RUN” is available on all platforms via Bassrush Records.
